8 September 2009 at 5:40 pm #8328I’m a R80’s man, so that’s not far away from him.
That’s close enough – it must be your turn to get the half time ale in

9 September 2009 at 12:42 am #8354Is there only me looking forward to the match on Saturday? All the anger and pi**edoffness has subsided and I just can’t wait to get to the DW and shout my head off for the lads.
Anyone else feel the same or has Bobbyswigan and his ilk worn you down?
Come on Wigan!!
You’ve no idea just how excited I am.
It’s my first game of the season!
A combination of holidays, work and kids has kept me away so far, but not this week. Nothing will stop me, although I might miss the kick off.
My lad plays Saturday morning football, usually 9 o’clock ish kick off. This week 10.45. That might not sound too bad and he’ll be done by 12. However, the game is in Milton Keynes!
12.40 train from MK Central to Crewe, change for Wigan and arrive at about 14.35. Never walked from the station before. Can’t take more than 25 minutes can it?
9 September 2009 at 12:56 am #8355Some of the bone-idle gits who pretend to support our club from the pubs and clubs of Wigan on a Saturday should read that Northern……and be thoroughly embarrassed to call themselves Wigan fans

The 628! I think I used to get that to go to John Rigby. Does it go through Kit Green and up to Orrell? Mind you that was 23 years ago and if truth be told I didn’t actually go that often either!

The red robin is the closet bus stop to the ground…..  :roll:9 September 2009 at 12:44 pm #8379Is there only me looking forward to the match on Saturday?

If you are really pushing it for time, jump a cab right outside the station (should be a few about) as I think it will only be a couple of quid down to Robin Park. Just ask him to drop you at Burger King or JJB shop or something and you can easily walk across, then, rather than get stuck in traffic closer the ground.

I was actually racking my brains trying to work out if I could manage a quick one, either there or in the ground, but then realised I have two hours on the train!
9 September 2009 at 3:17 pm #8391We get this before every game, then in the stadium it’s like a grave yard.
