26 December 2009 at 10:33 pm #16021could do with one of these smilies that just shakes it’s head. I’d use it a lot.
Yes, Scotland is kak, but Gomez has been running the show for weeks! (he should have buried that at the end tho!!)26 December 2009 at 10:36 pm #16022I thought gomez was ok.
26 December 2009 at 10:48 pm #16023Gomez played really well today.
He has skill and draws the fouls when he has the beating of defences.
27 December 2009 at 12:30 am #16024I also thought Gomez had a good game today and he was also very good at Stoke.
Scotland didn’t. I’d love him to get a goal, but with the average male life expectancy these days at 77 years and I’m already nearly 42, so not likely to see it in my lifetime!
27 December 2009 at 10:28 am #16044I must of been watching a different game, When Gomez wasn’t rolling about on the floor he was giving the ball away or being caught in possession. He was awful as was Scotland, And yes before the Scotland lovers leap to his defence, “he played well blah blah blah”, Don’t forget the most important role of a striker, Put the frigging thing in the net, I could have banged in about 10 of his chances this year. My nan could have buried 5.

Really good, you are having a laugh, there was one part of the game were he just jogged to the ball instead of bursting a gut and how many times did he lose the ball and for scotland he will never score,

It’s all about opinions, unfortunately your is s hite.
27 December 2009 at 8:25 pm #16102Been watching this pair for 5 months now and have come to the conclusion, (with the help of my new Sherlock Holmes handbook) that there has been no improvement whatsoever, it’s elementory I’m afraid and furthermore, particularly in Scotland’s case suggest it is not entirely all his fault. After watching evidence in his performance yesterday I am convinced that this lad could improve with a bit of one to one coaching on the training ground. It’s all well and good saying they’re not good enough, but could the coaching staff have done more?
28 December 2009 at 11:07 am #16116I am not sure which game you went to but Gomez had a good game against Blackburn, got stuck in and was creative for most of the game. A couple of lapses in the 2nd half, but he is a far better player than at the start of the season.
28 December 2009 at 11:10 am #16117Finally some posters on here have proved they know nothing about football, dead grandads or not.
Gomez was winning set pieces all over the field, he wasnt bottling challanges and got kicked all over the park. He was creative and help flow the ball through midfield, as as opposed to the long ball sh*te those on here would prefer.

agreed Gomez had a decent game,he has the skill just needs to work on his reaction speed and he will get better, hard to adapt to the speed of the prem in more ways than fitness. ;)
28 December 2009 at 5:13 pm #16137Just thought I’d start another Scotland and Gomez thread to go with all the rest.
