Personally fil I think we know we are dominant and once we get in front we just see the game out. Sometimes though if we don’t get an early goal they defend deeper and deeper and struggle to break them down.
It would be the sole reason if we balls it up for me Donny.
26 February 2018 at 8:19 pm #166951We are at the stage of the season where each game is a must win if we are to be the ones setting the pace.
There’s no doubt the momentum has shifted and we are on the back foot somewhat. It’s looking like over 95pts will be needed for an automatic spot. That doesn’t leave much wiggle room and means we can’t approach games thinking a draw is a good result.
We certainly have the quality and strength in depth. It’s a question of whether Cook can get the full potential out of the players at his disposal.
26 February 2018 at 8:26 pm #166952We have more wriggle room than any of the others really in that we can afford to lose at least one game,no matter what anybody else does. Nobody else can say that. The potential problem is if we have any more cancellations and the squad gets overstretched, but we have our fate in our own hands with a little to spare.

We have depth but is there strength in that depth compared with our rivals. Some of the stand ins on Saturday looked knackered never mind strong and will have to do better. Hopefully our strongest team will play in most of the games.
26 February 2018 at 9:09 pm #1669541 or 2 changes and we will be ok Donny. 6 or 7 and we will struggle, but so will everyone else.
26 February 2018 at 9:37 pm #166955Nobody else could make 7 changes and still win in this division. Of course we have strength in depth but is it worth the risk.Strongest side whenever possible
26 February 2018 at 10:12 pm #166958May have to risk changes at times due to the coming fixtures but I too would prefer the 15 or so that have been used on a regular basis but that could depend on how knackered everyone is.

A draw would be a good result in my opinion!
26 February 2018 at 11:22 pm #166964In theory it’s a must win for both teams rovers have the pressure on them.if we win against Bristol rovers and Blackburn fail at Wimbledon then pressure cooker time for the venkies.
26 February 2018 at 11:53 pm #166965Walker and Vaughan are the ones pushing for a start.
At the very least they’ll now be the go to replacements if they start from the bench. MacDonald can’t be far off if we’re talking about players ready to come straight into the first team reckoning.
27 February 2018 at 12:02 am #166966Powell back in contention as well.
27 February 2018 at 1:36 am #166969Would have Cole on bench before Vaughan. Cole was scoring regularly for Fleetwood in this league before he joined us whereas Vaughan was doing nowt at all for Sunderland. He was totally goosed on Saturday before he came off which isn’t good enough.

Winning the league will still be in our hands not theirs.
