Jealous nut hugging retards should fook off and accept that the joke sport is dead and a pathetic attempt to revive it wont work. Kick the despicable gets out on their ear and let them disappear gracefully. COYL
18 February 2019 at 5:39 pm #176435Throw the culprits in the stocks preferably on the bridge at Latics next home game!
On a serious note surely there must be CCTV that has caught it, identify the f**kwits then give them an history lesson.
18 February 2019 at 9:07 pm #176437Back to the Max Power thing. Was that not just graffiti on top of graffiti?

But the owner of the wall and businesses around there liked it. It’s the same person who did the one next to the canal footbridge.
I think it’s more the fact that he’s taken time to plan, sketch and spray a decent bit of artwork, and some rugby fans has then ham-fistedly scrawled over it with a pot of gloss a paintbrush.
18 February 2019 at 10:33 pm #176441Perhaps those vandals have forgot that Mr Whelan helped them out in the past with his finances.Helped them out??? That’s putting it mildly. He saved their very existence and gave them a ground to lodge in.
18 February 2019 at 11:15 pm #176442The egg has already been spray painted blue once.Rugby fans always forget that without Whelan the club would either not exist or be playing in Horwich. Its the same with the stadium, no matter how much evidence you provide they still believe their own deluded view.
I hope this doesn’t start any retaliation but I fear it will. Shame really as we have two clubs we should be really proud of.
Would they have gone to ‘Horwich’? Was it an assumption, on behalf of the greatest club side in the world, that a wendyball club playing ‘run of the mill’ Premier League games would welcome them with open arms? I don’t recall Bolton giving a response.

Time to put your pitchforks away.
Notwithstanding that it was a disrespectful act, I don’t see much acknowledgement from the “outraged” brigade that the vandalism didn’t happen last night. It appears that the damage was done before 1am on Saturday morning – some 40 hours before kick-off. I know that there was a big crowd on last night, but I doubt the queue to get in started that early!
So it could have been Stoke fans, it could have been some pissed folk at chucking out time, it could have been the scum from Norley Hall high on whatever is the drug of choice these days. It could have been anyone.

I was putting it mildly donny.
19 February 2019 at 12:07 am #176445Maybe move the Eusebio statue to Leigh for the 2021 ‘world cup’ where the world can see it at its future home.
19 February 2019 at 12:11 am #176446So it could have been Stoke fans.Could have been Sunderland fans upset at paying over the odds for a striker yet to find the net.

Well they’d have had to go somewhere

Would they? If big Dave hadn’t offered the JJB and Bolton told then to do one then where would ‘somewhere’ have been? St. Pat’s?
19 February 2019 at 2:00 am #176449No idea Goole. Thankfully it didn’t happen.
19 February 2019 at 2:03 am #176450No idea Goole. Thankfully it didn’t happen. Not in the thankfully category for me. But then I’m bitter and twisted, or so I’m told!
19 February 2019 at 2:06 am #176451No idea Goole. Thankfully it didn’t happen..
Did discussions ever take place with Bolton about ground sharing or was it just wishful thinking or an arrogant presumption it would happen?
If it hadn’t been Bolton who else would have been approached?
Preston, Blackburn perhaps? Can you really envisage rugby fans travelling in any great numbers to another town especially after the moaning that went on about moving just a mile or so down the road.
A move out of Wigan would have sounded the death knell for the club.
Aye, Whelan sold them down the road alright…..!
