Just a thought here not sure what anyone thinks, Sean Dyche has not ruled himself out of the Leicester job and if he were to get it I think its conceivable that Burnley could look to Paul Cook as a replacement especially as he is one of there old boys. Anyone agree or am I mad ? :woohoo:
20 October 2017 at 2:59 pm #162759Any club could come in for Cook or any of our players. It’s the nature of the beast sadly.
20 October 2017 at 4:23 pm #162762Can’t see it myself lads. Too much pressure on managers in the greed league and I doubt if Burnley would take such a risk. The likes of big Sam and Moyes would be seen as successors not a guy from the lower leagues.
21 October 2017 at 7:46 pm #162776Next we will get a caretaker in for a couple of months, Leicester will be bored of Dyche after two months then we get Dyche to take us to the Premier League.
Everyone’s a winner apart from Billy Big Bollocks Leicester City.22 October 2017 at 2:42 am #162784Donny P are you related to Donny D :silly: :silly: :silly:
22 October 2017 at 9:59 pm #162793I do reckon Burnley will soon be looking for a new manager as Dyche is hot property at the min. Surely Koemans time is up and Bilic wont be far behind him to be shown the door. Mark Hughes is also under a bit of pressure so a few big jobs could be coming available and no doubt SD will be touted. Just cannot see Burnley being interested in an untried boss at Premier level. I can see big Sam there.
23 October 2017 at 1:03 pm #162807I hope your mad, we need a bit of stability after recent years.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
23 October 2017 at 11:19 pm #162817Not as far fetched as it sounds this, you could see Everton going for Dyche then there being knock on effects. Too many names available though such as Allerdyce and Moyes though for it to roll down to us imo.
24 October 2017 at 12:24 am #162818As Jay says we definitely need stability but in the crazy world of football anything can happen. Money talks remember.
A couple of movements and who knows what can happen. Our Mon is doing well so could easily jump up a league. That’s what happens. Remember Fergus leaving Manure and what happened there.24 October 2017 at 6:39 pm #162828I cant see cook going anywhere in the forseeable if im being honest. I think if dyche leaves, i can see moyes going there.

Yes, they may have won Champions leagues etc. But they know nothing really about Wigan Athletic. We are so lucky to have a guy who ‘gets’ the club. He knows we have some impatient and moany fans, he knows how to downplay expectations…very clever.
Paul Cook, Leam Richardson, Anthony Barry and all the rest of the staff….thank you. You have rekindled my love for the game. I am serious! I had a time where I was just losing interest…I knew what we were capable of, but the previous managers were just inept. These have come in abd even the pre match warm up has improved. It’s that way where you are counting down the days from Monday onwards, until its matchday again.
How good is that?
26 October 2017 at 5:58 pm #162858Brill Vat. Were you one of the lucky ones who saw our future stars on Tuesday? You could have started countdown from Wednesday.

Because its a shambles of a competition having u23 sides in it. In all honesty, its a hinderance more than anything. Only thing is, it gives our kids and squad players a run out.
Fair play those that went, but its not for me.
26 October 2017 at 9:26 pm #162860VAT, would you be going to the final if we got there, and against a U23 team?
Fuck the EFL
26 October 2017 at 9:52 pm #162861No.
No desire to go and watch a cup final at wembley with 40k on, if that.
I have bo interest in the competition, in all honestly. Judging by the 1100 attendance the other night, I’m not the only one.
Thanks
