Renewal packs will be sent out from the 14th June to those who haven’t already renewed online or by phone and as last year the deadline will likely be extended.
If all your doing is renewing your seat you don’t actually need a pack.
12 June 2010 at 11:28 pm #37036… but am I being too simplistic to think “wouldn’t it be easier to have sent them out three weeks ago”?
And extension to what deadline? Am I guaranteed my current seat if I renew after the “deadline” – in which case why have a deadline?
No, I’m sorry. The phrase that springs to mind ends in the words “in a brewery”.

I know I don’t need a pack. But only cos I’ve got the interweb thingy.
Not everyone does. If I didn’t come on here how do I know how and when to renew? Many people still rely on the post. Mail-shots. Nice glossy leaflets coming through the letterbox.
We are potentially losing a lot of support we have gained.
I really am not impressed – not for me – I’ll renew this week – but I’m annoyed to think we may lose some of the ground we’ve made.
12 June 2010 at 11:34 pm #37038Presumably the clubs previous experience shows the vast majority of season tickets are renewed online or by phone.
Online marketing and renewals have proven very effective with packs sent out as a secondary marketing push to pick up those who haven’t yet renewed plus potential new season ticket holderswho are on the database.

But I like the merchandising pack that usually comes with it, featuring shirts, jackets and t-shirts worn by players looking really uncomfortable and awkward, and who clearly been bullied into doing so.
13 June 2010 at 4:30 am #37115I aint received one and I go away next Sunday, so if I aint got one before I go away and on my return I am too late to keep my seat which I have had ever since we moved to the East stand then they can ” Ram it ” What a fcukin joke ! I have registered several times to the official site and for some strange reason I can never log in so I gave up ages ago ! So just to reiterate, if I have not received a pack and my place has gone when I get back….fcuk em !

13 June 2010 at 12:21 pm #37125For those that have not received a renewal pack, and are on here stating the fact, you obviously have internet access.

I am guessing it is more a case of getting as many renewals done online as early as possible so that it reduces the cost of sending out expensive glossy brochures etc…
10,800 season ticket holders, say 7,000 of those renew wothout having to send stuff through the post. The club saves around £20,000 through not having to print or post to those people (figures are completely made up, but you see where I am coming from).

That’s exactly why they are doing it.Thousands of packs are simply thrown away, packs that can be sent to potential new season ticket holders on the database.
13 June 2010 at 5:05 pm #37145OK then.
Just tried to do it online.
But there’s no option online for me to get last season’s DVD at reduced cost. So how do I do that then?
… and are you really telling me that we, a Premier League club, in the richest league in the world, can’t afford to send our regular loyal supporters a bit of publicity material?
It’s one thing to say we aren’t going to pay players over the odds , ie thousands a week above what is reasonable, but quite another to do a one-off print and mailshot. Even a letter would be something!!
Do you work for the club No1fan? If so, tell them to get their fingers out.
13 June 2010 at 8:04 pm #37205Go the club shop with your client code, they can see you have renewed on the system and buy the DVD at £5.99.
Its not bad either by the way.
