i’ve just this minute phoned the club re: next seasons season ticket having seen the offer of £50 for under 11’s. my son who will be 6 at the start of the new season started to come regularly from the turn of the year having previously had the odd visit every now & again. i thought £50 for a kid was brill so rang the club to enquire, & was told that because i’m a west stand season ticket holder would have to pay between £190 – £225. i said to the lady that i thought the idea was to try & up the attendances & not to turn them away. she then put me in touch with someone higher up who told me that the west stand was protected ?????
i was told that i could easily transfer to the east without any problem, which would mean giving up my seat which i have held for 10 years +, along with my other family members whom have all sat together for that same duration.
apologies if this sounds selfish, but this now means that i’m going to have to give up a good seat to transfer to another stand & sit somewhere crap. my point is that all 4 stands should be the same price. :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead:25 May 2011 at 1:52 pm #66545Throw this is in:
I was under the impression that the West Stand was dearer because of its placement with the dugouts, plus protection from the elements (generally wind and rain, plus the sun).
The east Stand of course gets the brunt of the elements and is therfore a bit cheaper. The cynics will say it is so more people will buy there so the cameras are pointing at the stand that is most populated.
The South Stand is the @Heinz Family Enclosure and so prices are adjusted for the families they want to go in there.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

I had the same issue with my son last season. So I stayed where I am, and he can stay at home with his mum watching Jeff Stelling25 May 2011 at 2:09 pm #66550So Bickymon’s your son then Griff?
25 May 2011 at 2:20 pm #66552Move to the East Stand, all of you. Plenty of room in the middle sections ES5 & 6, some at the top under the score board. excellent view and great atmosphere (much better than the west stand) and you can contribute to the noise.
25 May 2011 at 2:30 pm #66554I wouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth, and get moved to the East….
The club will have their own reasons for different prices in different stands. If you want that great offer, move and take it up!!
25 May 2011 at 2:39 pm #66557Didn’t think you were allowed in the West Stand unless you were over 40.You’re not Sammy. Because of my youthful fresh-faced looks, I still have to show ID at every home game just to get in.

26 May 2011 at 12:33 am #66627A mate of mine who for some reason is an Arsenal fan born and bred in Nob End land, said that matchday prices next season start at £60 at the Emirates.
26 May 2011 at 11:25 am #66672Great offer to existing season ticket holders and the fact they wont let the kids move to the West stand is a bonus for us who want to enjoy watching the football.
