He said that they may give Barrow the job in the summer.
Why don’t they think a bit bigger and bolder? Why keep going for the easy and cheap options? I will gladly support him for these 9 games, but I don’t want him to be our manager permanently. Please no. Make a great appointment…a new, strong character…from OUTSIDE the club. Someone with proven ability.
Please, just for once!
15 March 2017 at 11:28 pm #156892Whelan is as tight as a ducks arse,it wont happen,we will end up with another cheap loser.
16 March 2017 at 12:35 am #156896I for one am concerned if Sharpe did indeed say this! Self destruct button merchants!

I was staggered by the comments. Small minded fools.
16 March 2017 at 2:15 am #156900Just slowly running the club to its knees ._cant get a buyer and now cant get a manager who would take the job
Our lodgers could well end up buying whelans out then the whelans will vanish to his island in the sun
Barrow full time will be the final piss take for me16 March 2017 at 3:09 am #156906Our lodgers could well end up buying whelans out then the whelans will vanish to his island in the sunUnfortunately, as he’s Chairman of the EFL, there’d be a conflict of interests. That said, despite the jibes against him from some on here, he’d be a bloody good owner. In his 10 years of owning the rugby, he has employed 3 managers, and not sacked any of them.
Personally, I cant see anyone buying the club from DW unless the stadium was included as its pretty worthless in its current state.
16 March 2017 at 5:55 pm #156928Why are you so shocked? Since relegation from the Prem its all been about cheap options. End of the day there is a kid now running the club, second and third generation are rarely as good as first in business.
Every dog has its day and we’ve had ours. If somebody had said to you twelve years ago you will have eight years in the prem, beat all the top sides, play United in a EFL cup final, beat City in the FA Cup final and play in Europe but end up back where we came from you would have all taken it!

Ermmm ABSOLUTELY.
16 March 2017 at 9:18 pm #156931He may give barrow the job doesn’t mean he will.
Depends whose interested and available hope barrow keeps us up though actually think we will win Saturday!16 March 2017 at 10:35 pm #156932He may give barrow the job doesn’t mean he will.
Depends whose interested and available hope barrow keeps us up though actually think we will win Saturday!Precisely.
What’s he supposed to say “Actually I’ve given Graeme the job to dig us out of the mire, but even if he does well there isn’t a cat’s chance in Hell that I’ll give him the job because some of the posters on Cockney Latic don’t like him”?
It’s called motivating; giving him something to aim for.
And there is no real point in looking for a new manager now with 8 games to go – if we find one with say 4 games to go, then that will disrupt whatever has been put in place in these next few weeks. If we go down the foundations have already been laid. I see no problem in supporting the manager who has been put in place, and worry about who gets the job, Barrow or other, when the dust has settled.16 March 2017 at 10:47 pm #156933Nine games GL !
At least we will have nine games to see what type of game Graham intends adopt; so he will either surprise or disappoint. Let’s wait until we cross the finishing line and give him and the team the encouragement that they need.

Now it’s time to point the finger at the players, they need to get their sh”t together and try and get us out this mess.

So we should be grateful, and just accept the crap we’ve had since 2013?
I’ve actually wished that I had packed in going when we won the cup. I knew in my heart of hearts that was the pinnacle, and we will never surpass that. That should’ve been my last game, because since then, it’s been a shambles. 5 managers in 4 seasons….and each one has had a catch, unproven…prospective decent manager, young hopeful…cheap option…club linked.
Time to make a very bold appointment and bring in a guy fresh to the club, with his own backroom staff. Let him do it HIS way.
Won’t happen though….

What we have to remember is that we are a small club & always will be. Personally, im not happy with what is going on at the club at the moment, & i hope to god that barrow isnt apppointed permanentely.
You my friend concern me with your comment. As a supporter you support a club through good times & bad. Yes its bad at the moment. Yes i dont like our current predicament. But i will always support this club.
