As for the sitter at Bolton, well it wasn’t a sitter was it?
Just glad the German has gone and our good players can get a game again, in a proper formation, with tactics.
I actually don’t blame the players one bit, being constantly shouted at and being dropped after scoring/winning/playing well the week before has killed better players than what we’ve got. I don’t think the players haven’t been trying either. The season starts on Saturday.
I’ll piss myself laughing at you lot if the new fella comes in and plays exactly the same formation and tactics.

Martinez won’t leave Everton
Just to defend Maloney further, he was superb for us until his injury, then found it hard to get a regular start. Looks like he’s getting back to form now.

I think it’s a long, long time since Maloney was “superb” but, I agree, potentially, he’s the best player we have by a street. Be intetresting if his Scotland form and lack of post-injury blues show up on Saturday, just as the old manager disappears.
Hope so, whatever the reason behind it.

Now that was clever. I did enjoy that.

So did I, as it happens.
However, there are probably as many coaches and managers out there who play the same basic formation and tactics that Martinez and Rolser employed as don’t. So the chnaces of getting the same are not far off 50:50.

You mean Martinez didn’t invent the one-up-front formation? -
