Can’t see any ticket office being open on match day at that price. It won’t be needed. It’s either season ticket or radio.
8 or 9,000 Season card holders who don’t turn up every match is going to make the ground look very similar to last season. A few more season ticket holders but less paying on an individual match basis. To be fair I don’t think there were many who paid on the day last season and hopefully some of those will have got a season ticket this season.
The ones that haven’t, who only go to a few matches, an extra couple of quid every now and then will make no difference and they will still go anyway.
It’s the fans who go to 10 or so matches that may not go to as many, but most of those will most likely get a ST to save money, and they will also have the choice on whether to go to the thirteen remaining matches.
I don’t think there are that many who pay on the day these days at many clubs.
We are now in a league where you have to maximize your income, cheap tickets won’t attract new fans, its been tried and it didn’t work.
Charging rafts of away fans more makes better busness sense as a previous poster stated. If that means we lose a few stobborn floaters who would rather whinge than pay up front for the same product but far far cheaper, then so be it.
Would you rather see “the shiney seats’, or a better run club with more income that can compete better with others clubs because they have increased there revenue stream at the expense of a few fans, but paid for from the income gained from the opposition.
If that’s the case then charge the away fans £40-00 and likewise seats in the South Stand and also put up season tickets to £460-00 and that could generate even more income. Maybe a few more shiny seats and an even better run club. Still only be £20 a match. I am sure most fans would welcome that. Whats another few quid a match?
That’s fair enough, if my season ticket was £460, which it may be in a few years, I would still buy one and it would be a bonus if it meant a saving of £460 a season on matchday prices.
£20 a match would still be very cheap and £28 still good value in this day and age.
FFS I paid £170 for 2 tickets for my wife and daughter to go and see that busker Ed Sheeran at St James’ Park. How much would that be per season if you went to 23 concerts??20 July 2018 at 2:18 am #170455One lad i know (Doogie) some will have heard/know of him, emigrated to Australia a few years back still buys a season ticket to show his support for the club!
Let me get this right. You know someone who spends the best part of £300 a year on a season ticket that they will never use?
Yep thats correct, well done! :silly:
Either you’re full of shite or your mate is whopper.
If it’s the latter, then I can suggest more worthy causes for his £300
You should have stopped typing after your first 5 words and deleted the first one.

Fuck the EFL
20 July 2018 at 8:13 am #170457FFS, stop moidering about ticket prices. This club has always done everything possible to keep prices low for its supporters and unlike most has never hiked up costs to spend elsewhere. We have been looked after season after season and yet all some of you do is moan. Its simple if you don’t think this wonderful club is not worth 28 quid then don’t go but you can bet a shiny shite we will be one of the cheapest in this division for match day experience. Remember that 13 years ago we paid 48 quid at Chelsea and Arsenal now there would be a reason to moan but we didn’t we still went.
