So many needless points thrown away and more tonight.
Massive changes needed this summer!!!11 April 2019 at 2:08 am #177930You know there’s always one team that are out of the relegation places all season, and then slip in on the last day ……
11 April 2019 at 11:10 am #177945Post match comments suggest he’s given up already in my opinion. One win in 11 is atrocious form and relegation Bound day long !
End of the day this team isn’t good enough , poor performance last night against an under par mistake ridden team and still beaten.
Disregard Leeds and Birmingham away and Norwich at home. So Preston and millwall ( both bogey teams over the years ) is about it then.
1 point , 2 at best .11 April 2019 at 11:55 am #177948I don’t see us getting another point up to Milwall and I imagine it will be over by then.
We have a board who appear not to give a shit about relegation. A manager clearly out of his depth at this level. Players who obviously have fitness issues about lasting a whole 90 mins without capitulating towards the end of the game. Division One is probably our level and it will no longer be a given that we will be up there challenging next season. COYL
11 April 2019 at 12:37 pm #177949We have a board who failed to see the warning signs and react. They preferred to let it ride and ride and ride in the hope things get better.
You would have thought Joe Royle with his experience he would have spotted the warning signs in Jan/Feb but they’ve all clung on in hope.
Cook’s lost the players, lost more and more fans and he has to face the fact that the championship is a level took high.
He’s brought in a bunch of aging players would be more suited to playing in League One. Anything that resembles pace, trickery, he has left out. It was like watching Dolly the sheep. Every player running around all of the same, a whole lot of nothing. They all play the exact same way all programmed to run alot with no end product.I’m in the mindset and all geared up for League One then at least I won’t be disappointed when we do, anything other than that would be a bonus. Going down will be easier for the IEC rather than a rebuild in the Championship were this side would hold its own.
11 April 2019 at 10:07 pm #177968When it’s your own team it’s easy to write things off. The reality is we could stay up without gaining another point. Another 3pts and we almost certainly would stay up. What I would say is we would have no complaints should we go down. The lack of action & facing upto this disgraceful run of away form is unforgivable.
Even those who believe Cook should stay until the end of the season appear resigned to him going in the summer. It’s not just results, it’s the lack of professionalism and game management. Rarely have we been played off the park. I don’t buy into the idea our players aren’t upto it. Too many strange selections, substitutions, tactics…..a good 15-20pts lost from winning positions.
It’s not good enough.

Well, yeah obviously. I specifically meant that we will go down on the last day having been out the bottom 3 all season not that it matters how we go down if we do.
12 April 2019 at 11:19 pm #178001WHY did he bring in Leon Clarke? WHY did he send Vaughan to Portsmouth? WHY did he not bring back our loaners and actually try
Our youth players. Anyone but Clarke. Kipper is another I would never play, although I would put him up front he could probably score.
Why ignore Gibson against HULL he was excellent but shortage of match practice meant he was substituted. Well done Cook.
WHY change goalkeepers? Sorry but Walton is suffering from shell shock.Jamie Jones for the run in.
Too many bit players. Too many incorrect subs. Cook absolutely out of his depth as are his training staff. Mass clear out in the Summer.
Salford City have a good manager.13 April 2019 at 7:31 pm #178017Reading, Qpr so far showing the balls necessary to climb out of the relegation fight.Hope Stoke haven’t got their speedos on just yet and can do us a favour. That’s what it’ll take cos our lot spineless, bottlers led by a manager whose been clueless for months will be lucky to get another point.

13 April 2019 at 7:50 pm #178019The reality is we could stay up without gaining another point. Another 3pts and we almost certainly would stay up.Wow. I realize you’re trying to make a point; but, that’s an incredibly optimistic take, bordering on delusional. With the form that Reading, Millwall, and even Rotherham are in, I think it will take an absolute minimum of 4-5 more points to stay up, and more likely 6, if not more.
13 April 2019 at 7:50 pm #178020Everyone is helping us at present …… it’s ours for the taking.
Added to that on one pitch is Max Power, Will Grigg and Jordi Hiwula ………. Jordi is the only one to score.
stop press …….. ahhhh Grigg has just scored
