7 January 2010 at 12:09 am #17375and before anyone calls me a JCL my first game was in the 1978-79 season.
Not there in the non-league days?
Feckin Part Timer!! ;)
7 January 2010 at 1:05 am #17384I agree with all of that……………..
Still,I couldnt stay away………..
To see Latics win 4-1 was worth every penny of the 15 notes, even tho as a S/T holder I did begrudge payin it.

My tickets were free. 1st half I was thinking it’s not our day & that Amaya will be put under serious pressure but, 2nd half Amaya was good & it seamed they did it for the fans. I would pay certainly pay £15 to watch that again, thrilling game.
7 January 2010 at 11:47 am #17406He was there, just minus the drum.
Why no drum, we were like mice on saturday with no drum.
If he’d brought the drum we would of been drowned out. Only a 1/3 of ES2 showed up ;)
It was less than a 1/3 & the only song I heard from ES2 was J.Scotland Barmy Army. I should of been in ES2 insted of West Stand, sorry.7 January 2010 at 5:15 pm #17449… it seamed they did it for the fans.Almost word for word one of the half-time team talk options in Football Manager 2010. :geek:
Nuff said.
7 January 2010 at 5:56 pm #17455It isnt the cost that kept me away and im absolutely sure the club would have dropped the price if it could have done .it is the lack of interest shown in this once great knockout competion by the top clubs in the PL.It has been going on for years especially since the big money came into the game at the top end and im sick and tired of it.
The FA cup has been totally devalued and i noticed an article in the press with a picture of the Latics game highlighting this point so the stayaways obviously touched a nerve.
This was once a great knockout and has been won many times by underdogs (West Ham 1980(div 2) Southampton 1976(div 2) Sunderland 1973(div 2) )but it is now dominated by the big(yawnnnnnnnn) four.
I like many Wiganers thought b@llocks to it and before anyone calls me a JCL my first game was in the 1978-79 season. The FA cup has had its day and TV and money are killing it off -VERY VERY SAD.That doesn’t quite make sense, if it is being dominated by the ‘big 4′ (even though utd are out’ , Doesnt that mean that the big 4 are taking it more seriously, and not that other people arent?.
Oh in in regards to the post before mine by ‘Griff’… I am slowly but surely becoming a big fan of yours and have to laugh at the truth in the forementioned post. ;)7 January 2010 at 11:49 pm #17491… it seamed they did it for the fans.
