I am friends with a few everton fans especially coming from my adopted neck of the woods. But they were all moaning about martinez’s style of play, having all the possession & doing nothing with it, & that old favourite – there was no “plan b.”
From the guys i’ve spoken to & most actually go to goodison, they have yet to take to him.

        I feel your pain.

Bitter rugby and Martinez posts one after the other.

Two subjects I really could not give a flyer about!!!

Gents – if you don’t like the topic then don’t engage with it.

I think that the nature of Bob’s departure after what is by and large an unsuccessful 4 year tenure (allbeit with some moments of magic), despite what was promised by someone so loved, has touched many a nerve – mine included.

Had he kept us up and then gone there would be no hard feelings, just as with PJ a few years back. I certanly didn’t follow PJ’s fortunes as closely afterwards, but I was saddened by how he wasn’t been able to recreate his success at Wigan. That’s because he left us with a good taste in the mouth, unlke Bob’s bittersweet departure.

I tried Galactic but I think its about time someone pointed out the small town mentality of people rambling on about other clubs instead of their own.

I am completely alien to the concept that Martinez owed any allegiance to this club.

I work for a small company and if we started making less money and the gaffer said to me “you have been absolutely brilliant for us constantly punching above your weight and that’s why we want you to stay and take a pay cut. By the way we will be selling your nice computer and desk and swapping it with a less expensive model and you wont be getting that new office we promised you” I would be off in a heart beat.

And to be perfectly honest he would have been better off staying at Swansea in the first place.

No bitterness to either Bob or the Cuckoos. Bob should have stayed and had a go at promotion. Sneaky feeling he was gone anyway long before the season was over. A deal done months before the press released the Fergie Moyes Bob merry go round. As for the trespassers I have no bitterness just the same feeling a Burnley fan has to Blackburn or a Blackpool fan has to Knob End thats all. Detest them but no bitterness at all.

It’s a football forum and as far as I am aware it is not exclusively all things Wigan Athletic. I think it is understandable that Martinez is generating so much interest considering how much he divided opinion on here. It is intriguing to see how he progresses at a club with greater resources, better facilities and, dare I say, a more demanding fan base than the club he left.

Why, what the f*** have Bob’s career choices got to do with you?

Yeah well, facts, story, in way, and all that, eh?

Lets not be forgetting that what we were told was Roberto wanted to stay but needed a few things from Whelan to ensure he got us back up at the first time of asking.

We can only speculate as to what he requested but we do know Whelan turned him down.

              Hardly Judas is he.

To be fair no we don’t and that is a glaring assumption on my behalf.

Sammy – I am all for people discussing past players & managers etc. but hoping the guy fails is pathetic.

I hope any one who is of that opinion loses their jobs under the same rationality.

Nothing like a football fan scorned eh?

I also think it’s pathetic that some of our fans – and it has to be said predominately those who didn’t want him here anyway – are now waiting for him to fail.

Down to ££££s and £££s alone as the main motivationsl factor. I can not prove this so my un-educated guess is just a presumption.
