we need to take our chances tomorrow when they come, if we do that i think we are in with a shout. caldwell at the back is a worry though
I think we can get a result on Saturday, but given that Tottenham are well and truly in the Champions League mix, I am expecting to lose – that way, I don’t get too down-hearted when it happens and everything else is a bonus.Writing off the Arsenal game too, I am hoping that 7 points from the others will be enough, especially if 3 of them come against Villa.
I watched Villa against United and I have to say that some of those young lads look like they might struggle with the pressure of a relegation scrap. I hope our experience in this will give us the edge. The key to our survival might not be the games we play but those we don’t – ie, Villa’s results.
I agree Villa are a very poor side who couldn’t live with our pace in midfield and attack back in December.The Villa game is a given in my view and I also think they will only pick up two more points ( Norwich and Sunderland) as the have the revitalised Sunderland on Monday night.Its six points to stay up for us I think but a win tomorrow will damage Villa’s momentum and put some pressure on them ahead of Monday.
I hear it’s a near sell out tomorrow which will help our cause and fire up the ladsHome win for me!

Come on, chaps – we’ve got to stick together!I’ve been looking forward to seeing Gareth Bale play, though now I’m having second thoughts.
But Wigan have a disciplined, compact style. They should be able to stand up to Spurs. And I think that Spurs are much better going forward than defending. We should be able to create – and hopefully take – some chances.
Like Spurs, Arsenal are chasing a place in the Champions League. The Arsenal game comes on the Tuesday after the Cup Final and is followed by the Villa game on Sunday. Arsenal will have a free weekend, and Villa will have a free midweek.
I would much rather play for the points against Villa than against Arsenal.Aston Villa did look like a team of school boys against Manchester United, and were lucky that United did not continue in the same vein in the second half. I’d be inclined to make changes after the Cup Final for the Arsenal game, and send out a strong and fresh team against Villa.

Go for it in EVERY game, starting today against Spurs.
A win today would be a tremendous boost, especially if Villa slip up on Monday.
If we could hit 7 points in our next 3 games, I think we would near enough be safe, and would be before the final, allowing us to concentrate on winning the cup!
Let’s all get behind them today. We’re playing a decent side, but one I think we have the ability of getting at.
