There’s talk of invading the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate staying up,my advice is DON’T do it, not only will it spoil the lap of honour & the fun for everyone else in clapping the players off,you will also be arrested for going on there. So please, stay OFF!.Enjoy the game! :)

Whistle goes, people run on pitch, stewards make an half hearted effort at trying to stop the first half dozen fans, the players get mobbed and run off, the fans chant on the pitch, the players emerge from somewhere in the stand and soak up the atmosphere. Everyone goes home happy!chill out lad! B)
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!13 May 2012 at 3:29 pm #87180A tad difficult for 14-15,000 Wiganers to get on the pitch, have birds eye view, and congratulate the team (perched in West Stand).
Hopefully, team lap of honour will be the result (at some point).
As has always been the case in recent years.
:cheer:

14 May 2012 at 1:25 am #87191Idiots all. Thankfully, the few mindless morons were off just in time to allow the celebration (stadium tour) to begin.
The highlight ? Dave Whelan, walking off with Wigan blue / white wig to boot at the very end. Quality !

:(14 May 2012 at 12:05 pm #87211Absolutley pathetic, moronic behvaiour, serving only to perpetuate the theory that most Wiganers are thick as shit and have no class whatsoever.
And just watch the WEP have a field day with it, too.
14 May 2012 at 1:21 pm #87215Cant really blame the young ones getting over excited and jumping onto the pitch, it was the goading of the Wolves fans that marred an otherwise normal end of season celebration !
14 May 2012 at 1:35 pm #87217I can’t tell you how embarrassed I was when 1 Wolves chubby ran 500 Wiganers. Then about 50 chose to stay and boot him all over.
If ever there was a reason to stop pitch invasions, this was it.
We have just become the laughing stock of supporters up and down the country.
Chav, youth, fannees.

I blame the Wolves idiot diving into 300 children?/fans to prove he is hard/thick delete as appropiate.
The ones who ran off were clearly little kids but no doubt this pleb will dine out on the fact he ‘ran’ Wigan on his own and write a book about it :silly:14 May 2012 at 7:12 pm #87228I can’t tell you how embarrassed I was when 1 Wolves chubby ran 500 Wiganers. 14 May 2012 at 8:16 pm #87233embarrassed… when 1 Wolves chubby ran 500 Wiganers
“ran” 500 Wiganers? What era are you from?
There were a load of kids who stupidly taunted Wolves. Shouldn’t have happened, but THEY WERE KIDS.
One numb-nut from their end hurls through the cordon – of course kids are going to run away. They’re not “a firm” (is that the right phrase?) you know. No need to feel embarrassed that “our fans were ‘run’ by 1 away fan.
He then got what was to be expected – have a read of this thread and see what Wolves fans think of him:
Wolves Message BoardI provide a few quotes (from Wolves fans):
“What a moronic loser that guy is! Pity the kicking didn’t last a lot longer, he’s too fat to feel anything anyway. All that blubber would have cushioned the blows!”
“What an absolute prat – nice to see he got the kicking he deserved”
“I’ve never seen him, the guy is a psycho”Once again to make my disapproval of what happened absolutely clear – our kids should not have even been allowed to get anywhere near their fans to taunt and/or I would have hoped we had known enough hard times ourselves not to rub anyone else’s noses in it – the steward line should have moved forward to push the kids back to the centre line. But if this ‘brave’ guy wants to take on kids and gets pleasure from seeing them run away (and can brag how he did it) then when others take retribution he’s only got himself to blame.
Having said that – as his picture is now clearly in the papers I think he can expect a ban by Wolves. Verbal provocation never condones physical violence.
14 May 2012 at 8:54 pm #87236like i said embarrassing.
