James, the reference to you being poor was borne of the fact that you come across as an adolescent that receives two pounds fifty a week pocket money (from possibly rich parents) and has no grasp of the concept of irony due to spending most of your life in a cyberlife existence.
I don’t care that my bet went down and I expect some sort of shoeing for getting it wrong.
Unfortunately, one of the shoeings was in holier than thou stylee, one was far too serious and one (yours) had missed the point completely.
Right, well I don’t get pocket money, I earn a living, and earn quite well too. I don’t spend most of my time in a cyberlife existence, in fact more or less all my days off consist of being out with my friends, drinking. So you were wrong on both counts…Well done.

Nope. All I was stating that you fell for the classic “why bookies aren’t poor”. Not sure why that’s holier than thou.
I have bets on the World Cup too. I’m just not publishing them on here – and certainly not saying how “I’m going to be smelling and feeling the money”. If they win – great. If they lose – that’s my problem.
But tell me – what would you have been posting if you’d won? There’d have been no stopping you. You had a fall. No problem. But you set yourself up with your “bravado”, and apparently expected a shoeing.
