He can fook right off…
Not a chance would i want to watch a team playing his style of football again..
He jumped ship for more money TWICE .
Whelan would be a fool to even contemplate offering this scum a job .
Somebody in lower leagues for me … Maybe Gus Poyet … ?
Poyet for me, the guy come’s across similar to Martinez and will be hungry to do well and use us as a “stepping stone”, which seems to be the norm for everyone that come’s through the glass doors.

It would be nice for someone to come in and finish the job. Martinez is a season / season and a half behind his plans in terms of getting us to the top half /europe finish.
Martinez is treating us like he is in a relationship with us, testing his new girlfiend out before he chucks us.
As Bruce consistently improved our team until Whelan cashed in on his prized assets and he had us on the edge of European qualification its hard to see why he wouldn’t be considered to be fair. He picked us up on our knees and guided us to 11th in a disappointing end to a promising season. He won as many games in his one and a half seasons as Bobby won in 3 seasons and on overall performances and record it would be difficult to see him as a ‘step back’.
True. He may not play the silky football that Roberto brought at times but given that this led us to fighting relegation every season he was here its difficult to see how this was that effective? The 7 out of 9 at the end of the season and some of the superb team performances have tantalised most of us to ask ‘What could have been?’ However. Given his tenure as a whole its hard to see all the advances that have been made given us consistently fighting to stay in the league.
Bruce perceived he was moving on to better himself just as Bobby is doing at the minute. Sunderland and Liverpool at present are no different a proposition. Whats all this ‘He jumped ship for more money twice’ nonsense. Are some people that naive to believe that money doesnt rule our game? Fans are loyal. Players and managers most certainly are not. Its just a job and if someone gave you a pay lift you would do the same. I must say i cant stand the way that Bobby is pimping himself out to all and sundry almost rubbing our clubs face in it on a daily basis. How long does it take to meet a bloke and decide if you want a new job?

Bruce needs money to throw at his teams – something we have even less of than last time he was manager.
Bruce also virtually disbanded the youth development within the club in order to channel all his finances into the first team.
The organic production and farming of footballers from the youth set up is the only way Wigan can continually compete in the Premier League without the money of bigger rivals.
In my opinion, Bruce is the complete polar opposite of what is needed if Martinez goes.

I bet you believed all those “Lancaster Bommber on Moon” stories that The Sport used to peddle, didn’t you? Used to think you were quite bright, must be getting you mixed up with someone else.
