I dont think i am angry,more like an empty feeling.There was no passion in a game that was for the taking.No determination in fact its fair to say that sod all happened,but hey they will still get a big fat cheque each at the month end.

I wish it didn’t have this affect on me, but it does Banjo. If a game like last night had the same affect on the players, we’d be a lot better.

My first ever Latics game was 31 years ago this week and i have witnessed some sh/t performances over the years without a doubt.Torquay at home in 1980-81 (0-3) Gillingham at home (0-3) 1994-95,Mansfield at home( 0-4) 1995 Millwall at home (0-2) 1998-99 Bolton (0-4) 2010 but what i witnessed last night is the most inept gutless performance i have ever witnessed from a Wigan Athletic team.To say im annoyed is an understatement and i agree with the poster above and i know how he feels.
I like a few thousand others let rip at the final whistle because i am pig sick. Its the lack of basic organisation and motivation of this football team and the blatant disrespect these players are showing to the hard working supporters of OUR football club with their abysmal performances this season.The club is sinking fast and relegation is now a looming possibility in what is probably the worst quality Premier League EVER!
I actually saw Martinez clapping as somebody gave the ball away can you imagine the likes of Jewell or Bruce doing that????

It’s now Friday and I’m still spewing at how bad we were and lets not kid ourselves we were absolute garbage we were only playing Pompey reserves. We had loads of posession but don’t we always!!!! 25 passes across the back four is not my idea of posession, quality football. If you don’t score goals you don’t win football matches and against the poorest teams in this division Bob has played one striker and we never look like scoring.
We may stop up but it will be despite of Bob not cause of him and at the end of the season I would tell him and his 4-5-1 to fook of as this season has been an absolute disgrace :x :x :x :x

Every manager makes mistake however the problem with martinez is that he dosent seem to learn from them. I think every fan has seen that on the few occassions we have changed to 442 we look a lot better team, however he still persists with his stlye of ‘football’ Weds was calling out to be changed and when does he do it the 88 minute. Moses was being hailed as the best thing since sliced bread by Bobby after the Burnley win but he has been limited to 10 mins at the most since.
I think the red mist has clouded many folks view of the game. We have been a LOT poorer this season and most of the games we played in the second half of last season under Bruce were worse than on Wednesday.
I’m not saying that we shouldn’t/couldn’thave done better, but lions share of the possession anf 16 odd attemptson goal with just over half on target are pretty good. Had that been against anyone in the top half we’d be purring.
Many of you seem to think that playing an already relegated side full of reserves meant we deserved to win. Not so…and frankly it makes you sound like fans from all of the other premier league teams we berate for acting like Bertie Big B0110cks.
Yes we needed more bite. Yes we needed more urgency. Yes there were a lot of mistakes, but get over it. This isn’t the first time in recent history. Have you all forgotten some of frankly tepid performances the team put in under Jewell just prior to the Sheff Utd game?
