LMB – shame you won’t be there. We could have had a really sensible debate on the way down (well, until Thelwall) and a really daft one on the way back.
I suppose I could discuss Strictly or Corrie with the female element of your family in your absence ;)
do you think we would have managed all the way to thelwall ?
and you do my mrs an injustice, she would gladly discuss her speciality – financial budgets and audits on $100m projects world wide or equally as well the boring,lethargic non goal scoring football under martinez, but corrie or strickly i doubt it,
but then again griff my daughter would probably have a long and meaningful chat with you about glee or the twilight saga ,which may me more to your level perhaps.i had a discussion about the last game at stoke last night -from what i am being told alot of people are up for this game for a number of reasons – it could be our premier league swan song or it might be a ‘need the points game’ aka sheff utd, or just a celebration of a seventh year in the big time, the private coach ;) operators are being asked about going, my mrs and daughter have already booked on deckos fun bus and that is full with talk of another.i think if this is the case there could be a ticket shortage, its stokes last game as well remember and they could well be parading the FA cup in front of their own fans at the end of what has been quite a good season for them -probably euro qualification – they tend to let away fans have about 2500,
but we have not taken very many to stoke since the championship promotion season so they may not offer us that amount especially if the demand is high from their own – we may only get a 1000 or so.

Was it not simple? If you wanted a ticket you should have made sure that at 9 this morning you were at the ground. Thats what the majority of the 1400 did! And for their commitment they are surely the diehard fans who made the effort in their working week to be there!
For what its worth i would imagine we will get an extra allocation but you cant complain if you didn’t make the effort.
