I get it perfectly thanks. You said Stoke wouldn’t field a full strength side again this season, so as to save their best players for the FA Cup. Bat seeing as we only playthem afterwards, they then have no reason to keep their strongest team off the field.
I did. And I dont think they will. But I do think that they will put more effort into their games after the cup final than they will before, particularly their final home game when potentially they’ll be parading the FA Cup at the Britannia Stadium.
Apart from Everton, Stoke is probably the last place I’d want to go if I needed a win to stay up.
But if we had to go to Stoke & WIN! ! ! ! !
That would be our Cup Final, hope it does not come to that though :x !
Be hard Saturday against Everton, but you never know, thats football  .
Except that last night, Stoke put in their best performance of the season (their manager’s words, not mine) against Wolves – a team who, correct me if I’m wrong, are scrapping for their lives.
Last night, Stoke were not guarranteed a Premier League spot next season. Now they have got 42 pts, they are.
Also, isnt there some “history” between Stoke & Wigan – something to do with disrespecting a minute’s silence for the late Stanley Matthews.[/quote]
McKnob head no Wigan fan disrespected Stanley Mathews minutes silence .If you want wind folk up at least get your facts right.
Wow Mutty, you must be pretty desperate to have a go at our little club that means nothing to you, to trawl back 11 years for a press clip. And if you actually read it, the reporter doesn’t say Wigan fans caused what happened. It’s purely interviewees from Stoke. About as unbiased as you.
Speaking as someone (admittedly also biased but open minded) who was actually there, and not depending on press cuttings, I can tell you that yes there were a couple of shouts in the minutes silence, but they were from people coming up the steps from the concourse to the ground. Once they realised what was happening they shut their traps. After the minutes silence most of the ground joined with the Stokies in singing There’s only one Stanley Matthews. But somehow I wouldn’t be surprised if you knew this already.

So this report in a national newspaper was all made up then…

You obviously did not read that report :angry-banghead: .It states the game was stopped so how could the minutes silence have been disrupted if the game had kicked off. Anyone who attended the game knows the trouble was stared by 30 Joke fans in the West stand.
You off work again lad, wot’s up wi yer this time. Is yer eyes still bad. ;)
Day off mate but thanks for your concern. My eye/head is healing nicely. Not had a day sick at the bean factory for 16 month so must be long over due
