I guess being an ‘unfashionable’ club with very little money to spend on transfers or wages has come back to haunt us yet again.
To be honest I’m not surprised Stones has seemingly gone elsewhere,he isn’t the first to do this and sadly he wont be the last.
I expect us not to make any more before todays eleven o’clock deadline.

Nothing to do with us leaving it until the last minute.Barnsley have been holding out for the best possible deal and likewise the player has been weighing up his options.
Exactly the same happened last year with the lad we were trying to sign from Watford.

You don’t really believe that we deliberately leave these things to the last minute do you?
Always going to come out second best when a club like Everton enters the bidding.Unfortunately being in the bottom 4 year after year doesn’t help sell the club either.Good luck to Qpr .If the chairman wants to spend his dosh in a bid to save them from relegation thats his perogative and his gamble too.

I’m not sure Scharner is either to be honest.
Jewell signed him as a centre half but I seem to remember him playing more in midfield than at the back most of the time.
Mind you that was in a back 4.
this is the reason the club is investing in the new academy and training facilities, so we can bring our own through..we simply cant compete in the transfer market.
being totally honest, we are probably the least attractive club in the premier league for a player to come to.
clubs who we can compete with financially like reading, west brom, get bigger crowds, pay better wages, or in readings case, is near london so have advantages over latics.
its just the way it is.
