Should have had water cannon and CS Gas used on them. Rioting just because they can’t have gap years in Thailand and Aus anymore or go skiing during half term. Diddums!
The fact that they were complaining that we were back in the Thatcher years made me laugh, none of them were born when she was in power.
The looks on their faces when they broke those windows, just kids having a laugh. As you say a bit of CS Gas would have been even funnier !
The thing is the bloody students pay tuition fees already, the government have upped that limit slightly and moved the payments to after they graduate at a higher threashold. So they start to complain about the principle of paying, maybe they should have done that in the last 10 years when the fees started to rise…

As I did, when they first introduced fees, by cancelling my membership of the Labour Party. Completely against all Socialist principles (if you don’t know what “socialism” is ask your grand-dad ;) )

Living up to your name somewhat. Why shouldn’t they protest, Mr Clegg only got his face in Parliament by promising that he would have nothing to do with hiking up Tuition fees, and thereby getting shed loads of students and lecturers to vote Lib Dem. Now some students will have to face paying nine grand a year in tuition fees. Up six grand on what they pay now. Something that students in France, Germany and as the good man touched on before me touched on, Scotland don’t have to do.
I agree with Truelatic, I think they have more than a point. Tis a shame the masses get their filters out and all you hear is Bloody Students.

is that you speaking! or are you a repeater per chance? do you think for your self? or does Rupert do your thinking for you
If they want to do a a course badly enough they’ll do it and gladly borrow the funds through the more than generous loans scheme. ‘Noddy’ courses like Media Studies and Social Science might be undersubscribed and a few lecturers might have to get out of bed early more often than they’d like but thats tough titty..

Read my un closely. Go and live in Scotland and France if you can’t cope with balancing the countries books which were trashed by that socialist scrote Brown. Not bothered if lecturers are up in arms its time they actually got real jobs instead of being perpetual school kids and reading and talking shoite for a living. Now that these ‘students’ have resorted to violence I trust the authorities will respond in kind and kill a few. Oh its wonderful when the liberal left start whining and bleating!!

Socialism = spending other peoples money and being a lazy sponging barsteward, hypcocrite tyrant.
So they start to complain about the principle of paying, maybe they should have done that in the last 10 years when the fees started to rise…

Mr Selleckhunt funny you should say that as I actually do live in one of them aforementioned countries. I wouldn’t say I was a particular liberal person, they all shaft you in the end as Mr Clegg has done to the students and lecturers who he lied to in order to garner votes. I’ve actually never voted for any political party.
I agree with you that the Government should be balancing the books after the mess that the last one left behind, I also think that the students have a right to protest, along with the lecturers at what the Government is doing. A six grand tuition hike just isn’t cricket and its something that no other students from any other country in Europe has to do.
Capitilism = taking money from the less fortunate to build swimming pools and cleaning out their moats in their mansions
Well it’s only right. Moats are bl00dy expensive to maintain. We get a Polish gang in to drain and clean ours twice a year. They even varnish the drawbridge. But it hardly seems worth it when it takes forever to fill the thing back up again with a hosepipe.
