I agree to an extent but count how many city or liverpool do as well. The difference is their forwards make runs and give them an option for that forward ball and they’re on goal within seconds. Ours stand still with a defender stuck to them.

Garners header first half was unlucky. He had beaten the keeper, it was a goal if it was on target he isn’t saving it.

We already have players out their depth. Byrne being one.

So no reason whatsoever for not using some of our future stars.

No. I can 100% see why people are asking for these players to play (I feel some should too but I am a bigger Jensen Weir fan than I am a Joffy fan) and I can 100% see why Paul Cook doesn’t want to risk any of them.

As I’ve said before I’ve seen plenty of young lads in the egg chasing academy that looked like the next big thing. Played for England, won awards, related to legends etc etc and they never got close to the first team. I commented for years that the youngest Tomkins brother was the best of the three and he has had the lesser career of the three. Again, different sport but the principle is the same. It is easy for Joffy to stand out against players his own age if he is better than they are. It’s another thing for him to do it against those older, more experienced and in a contact sport….bigger.

The kid clearly has talent and having spoken to Paul Cook about him he knows full well that he has but I honestly believe that Cook is overthinking things at times which is leading to our downfall and his comments after the game today come across basically as though he is accepting relegation and with over a third of the season to go that is pretty worrying.

I’ve always been a big Cook fan and have tried to defend him where I can, but whilst the players need to take some responsibility as Nathan Byrne said….so does Paul Cook. So do we sell 5 or 6 players, sack Cook or go all in that something changes? Already Middlesbrough have started to climb out, I fully believe that Stoke will and so we are left hoping that someone like Charlton or Sheffield Wednesday continue to lose and get sucked in.

If we go down with Cook in charge because the owners want him to oversee the next stage of their plan (in other words the introduction of the acadamy players) then they need to say so and set things straight with fans. None of us want to get relegated but if we know there are plans in place for a bright future then it might just make things that little bit easier to swallow.

I’m seeing plenty of teams playing young lads. Some of these are far younger than those I watched beat Liverpool Friday. Some of those at Wigan are young men 20+ not straight from school. So please explain how tf they get experience if their not weaned in ??.

Those fcukin Royles Chuckle Brothers must be on space cakes watching us then move over to crystal meth when they report back to Hong Kong or there sending them Liverpool video’s saying “Yep! That’s us!!”

Most of the team were actually under the age of 20. Three were 21.

Same old broken record and without changes an acceptance of relegation.
Looks like they have all but given up from top to bottom .

Did you see Tylor Golden given the runaround on Friday night? No point bringing the youngsters in just for the sake of it. They need to show they’ve a chance of doing it at Championship level and in this instance its patently not the case.

Cook seems almost like he’s accepted it

And Swansea had a team were only 2 were over the age of 25. Then Cook says today we could have won it if we had more experience in our side, it didnt seem to hinder Swansea.

His statement says it all, utter confusion. You say for the sake of it playing youth players.
As it stands were fcuked for sure no one can deny that. We don’t have the cash and who tf in their right mind would come to a club in our predicament ?. I p1ssed myself when I heard were now linked with Wells at QPR. Even if he did lose his mind and give up London who’s going to set him up ? Evans ?, Morsey ?.

Mulgrew left for reasons he has yet to fully disclose but you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

Now based on the above we have one option left, dip into our youth system. Is it the ideal scenario?, no but without change were going down.
Ollie Crankshaw was outstanding against liverpool very direct and an eye for a goal. Williams and Robinson 23 22 are not much older. And let’s not talk about Geldhart ffs.
Cooks recent excuse regarding experience highlights his preference much older players. But with that comes injuries and the likes of Evans and Morsey who need to be dropped asap. The pair only pass sideways and back. Any attacking play is done at the pace of a snail and in their own time.
If that’s what “experience” gives you you can fckin keep it thanks.
Sometimes throwing kids in might just shock you, nothing ventured nothing gained.
As we stand we have nothing to lose because without Cook taking gambles we are well and truly going down.

He has and that kind of attitude is highly infectious within any club. Once the manager starts saying, “I don’t want to criticise the lads but it’s the same old same”, in doing so he just has.

He’s openly saying he doesn’t know why and the board still do nothing. I’m resound to ts going down for sure because this is running longer than a whodunnit in Eastenders

If there’s no transition or pathway into our first team from the 23s fuck it off, save our money and stop talking shite at fans forums. Sick of hearing all this talk of our young golden generation full of internationals then watching this shower of shite week in and out. Haven’t seen some of them but looking at match reports seems lads like this Crankshaw score every tie they play. Some of these silly bastards in the first team score 1-2 a season. Fuck the youth. Let’s stick with Gary Roberts.
