Suggestion for Improvement to Forum

Hello Site Admins.
Because I’m not on here every day and can’t spend a lot of time on here I find the “View New Posts” facility very useful for me to check on the latest topics.
However recently this facility has been rendered useless by a number of people that keep posting the same old tune under multiple posts so I end up with a hundred new posts when in reality there are porbably only about ten.
Since the posters have nothing new to say I know I can safely ignore their posts. Would it be possible to have a facility to mark multiple posts as “old” thereby removing them from the “View New Posts” list.

How about issuing a warning to anyone who keeps starting new threads on the same topic then, if they persist, ban them?

That’s a good idea, anyone found moaning for moanings sake or generally making a complete tool of themselves for no good reason could have their offending post sent to a special forum of shame. I would also make the forum read only.
