Yet agan the hypocrisy of Ferguson at it’s very worst.
I remember the week after Rooney had stuck his elbow into Jimmy Mac’s face , United were at Chelsea and I think it was Luiz caught Rooney off the ball. The offence was nothing compared to what McCarthy received but afterwards Fergie was going ape saying that referees had to protect his players more.
If yesterday’s incident was life threatening then we had better scrap the sport otherwise dozens of players could get killed every week.
24 December 2012 at 6:54 pm #98600The scholes / rooney incidents were nothing more than hand bags at five paces rather than life threatening challenges. :
The Rooney one was diabolical, premeditated assault, nothing less.
A red card and a lengthy ban should have followed.Keane on hangelaand was also a career threatening challenge (did he ever recover from that?)
And scholes has made a career out of silly reckless challenges
It’s all in the game and what goes around comes around, what i take issue with is fergie calling for a lengthy ban, which is no better than holding up an imaginary card, something he has rightly condemned in the past, people in glass houses and all that.
And to over exaggerate by saying van persie could have been killed, well that’s just laughable, he’d be the first I’ve heard of to be killed by a football, and again, what goes round comes round, he’s hardly been a saint has he, I think Williams should have gone for the face off the rebound, give him something to really moan about![/quote]

would have had one less to worry about on New Years Day also.
Pity really …
Mr RVP, that good old sportsman who shakers Caldwell (not) by the hand, when his team have just been done at the Emirates
Happy when they’re winning (RVP, Fergie etc), miserable tw2ts when they’re not.

24 December 2012 at 7:02 pm #98603Nothing wrong with their kit; thall white with trimmed gold -media darlings which grates especially after only two years
Arrogant b@@@ards let’s see them do eight years and keep the feet on the groundIt’s the attitude of their fans towards us and Martinez after he left them that irks me.
They inundated our forums when it happened, and fair enough, most fans get annoyed when their manager leaves for another club. When when it gets to the stage that there is a very real possibility that the team hotel could be being invaded by angry and vengeful Taffs, and it’s being taken seriously the club and police, then THAT IS going a little too far.
24 December 2012 at 7:15 pm #98605was up and on his feet, quicker than a rat up a drain pipe.Do rats actually run up drain pipes?
Do they do it on a regular basis and at what speed?Maybe I should write to MythBusters and ask the question.

While you’re onto them, please could you also enquire what exactly is a tramp like on a kipper, and who is the famous soft Mick with his various excesses?24 December 2012 at 7:24 pm #98607I would also like them to find the person who has no one worse off than them. They must be in a pretty bad state.

25 December 2012 at 12:59 am #98616From were I was sat it looked pretty clear that Williams wanted to hit RVP. Just played it back 4 or 5 times and he’s actually looking at the ball or RVP head which were about 3 feet apart.Yes he could have broke his neck quite easily, especially as RVP could not see it coming and therefore would have been relaxed.
If you know someone is going to tvvat you, then its easy to get tensed up and be ready for it, but whilst lied on the floor with your back to the assailant then anything could happen. If I was RVP I wouldn’t wait for the doddering FA to take action, I would be straight on to the police to report an assault. If any of us went up to a lad lying on the floor in King St and kicked him in the head from behind we would be locked up. That was just as bad in my opinion and he should be given a lengthy ban, just like Cantona got.
It works in the opposite way re being relaxed ! Think when toddlers fall downstairs and very rarely get injured whereas when adults fall downstairs they end up coming a cropper due to tensing up ! Just saying like ! Happy Xmas and prob see you in New year if your lad plays the Railway again !

All the best to you to Phil, I’m sure he’ll end up going back to that neck of the woods again, seem to like their ska and stuff up there.
