Watched it a few times now, very lucky not to be hurt. Imagine if it had been the other way round?

Most surprising fact of the day was that Dowd, after chatting to his Chelsea heroes all afternoon, gave the pen. and sent him off.

      Good old Phil.

He must know those Chelsea lads like he’d know his kids, as it was the SECOND week in a row that he’d reffed them!

It said so in the programme, when it said about their ‘Last Time Out’ which was against Spurs on Sept 20th.

The tackle on Mario didn’t look too bad from the Springfield stand, but the reaction from the East Stand was justified when I saw it on MoTD.

It should have been a straight red, but I will give Mr Dowd the benefit of the doubt because other than that I thought he refereed the game well.

Yes he may have been a bit too pally at times with ‘his heroes’ but I don’t think this clouded his judgement at all during the game.

Well done Mr Dowd for a good overall refereeing performance.

Howard Webb was the ref for the Chelsea/Spurs game.

I think that there were a couple of Chelsea players that were very lucky not to get booked and even sent off, Balletti being one. He could have got booked twice in 30 seconds when after hacking down Figueroa he went over and pushed Kirkland then elbowed Thomas whilst passing.
