Does anyone on here know anything about the take over?
Does anyone know??
25 April 2018 at 7:17 pm #168535Nobody’s arsed.
What will be will be, whether its someone from far east, or Bill Kenyon. We don’t get a say.
29 April 2018 at 8:19 pm #168671They where there all yesterday and left late on. I was told last night, by someone friendly with some board members, the deal was agreed
What “agreed” means is anyone’s guess. But being out and about in public makes it seem more tangible than just reading about things in the press.
30 April 2018 at 2:44 am #168682on latics speak and i take this with a pinch of salt 8th richest man in china plus others as a consortium
are involved along with joe royale and his son who is a football agent joes son the agent is the one setting up the deal
personally i smell bullshit anyone have pics or what ever to prove these guys where even at the game30 April 2018 at 7:07 am #168683There where 6-10 (what looked like) Asian gentlemen outside the tunnel as the players came on the pitch. Some taking photos. Also a young Asian women with a Latics top on, holding a child, stood next to Paul Cook. This was only 30 seconds before kick-off so quite unusual. And no, they where nothing to do with the mascots.
The guy who’s the 8th richest person in China did own shares in the company interested in Latics about 12 months ago. But no more. The company in question, International Entertainment Corporation is relatively small. It’s a leisure/entertainment subsidiary of a larger investment group called Head & Shoulders owned by Yan Min Zhang.
I was told about the deal by a friend by phone on Saturday night. Prior to that I hadn’t seen or spoke to them that day. They’d been in hospitality all day. Not heard anything about Royal until today. But with Gary Cook involved and the City connections, it wouldn’t be surprising if he’s an intermediary.
30 April 2018 at 2:16 pm #168686so if it happens then next season we could be head and shoulders above the rest
30 April 2018 at 2:31 pm #168688Oh, and I was told the agreement was completed yesterday and the official transition of personnel etc. is in September. Not sure if this indicates Sharpe and co. are staying in position.
Hopefully we get some official word soon.

Our next manager when Dyche goes to Everton, Cook goes to Burnley, and Joe Royle comes here.
I think I’d sooner have Jim Royle.
30 April 2018 at 2:35 pm #168691the more i look into all this the more its getting confusing but like you say hope a club statement comes out soon
needs to be sorted so we can bring in better players for next season or we could find ourselves struggling early doors1 May 2018 at 1:49 am #168706It’ll all be announced at the The Promotion Party in the Park. That is Sharpies and Whelan’s final farewell (and maybe Cooks). It’s a party they are throwing to say ‘thanks’ and ‘good-bye’. No other club has ever done anything quite like a party in the park just because they got promoted.
That’s what I reckon, anyway.
1 May 2018 at 2:02 am #168707Literally every club who achieves promotion or wins a trophy has a parade/party of some sort. You don’t announce these sort of things alongside a brass band in Menses Park……

They’ll not announce anything, the day is all about celebration.
4 May 2018 at 10:33 pm #168849It’s been reported by Nixon the prospective owners have put a cash injection into the club until red tape can be cleared for the final deal. By all accounts it’s enough so we wouldn’t need to sell a player like Powell. Should we wish to keep him.
21 May 2018 at 9:10 pm #16927421 May 2018 at 9:45 pm #169276I cant help but feel a little apprehensive about this take over and we don’t want any of that name or colour changing bollockes thank you very much.
