Bit embarrassing for the administrator as picked as the most likely to succeed. However got tobe a good thing for us. Finishing in bottom three strangely may prove a blessing as bidder just show only interested in us as a championship club rather than in it no matter for the long term.

24 July 2020 at 4:14 pm #188200As I expected. I thought it would hinge on Wednesdays result, obviously don’t fancy us now. Worrying situation and without doubt means our appeal could be a hearing to decide the future of our club. Can’t help pinning all my hopes on our QC but I just keep thinking the best damage limitation policy for the Efl is to uphold the deduction rather than the myriad of law suits from other clubs particularly dragging on as the new season approaches. Just pray the preferred bidder collapse is a blessing in disguise.
24 July 2020 at 4:36 pm #188201I think personally we won’t succeed simply because of the implications and knock on effect with others and 20-21 fixtures.
I think if by chance we do win then it will more than likely be a reduced points say 3. This will mean, yes we have been punished but we survive which is based on recent form. Barnsley and others will find it harder with a guilty verdict to challenge. I’m not saying they won’t but they might think twice.

24 July 2020 at 6:39 pm #188204What are they buying? A mid table championship club or a league 1 club with little income and few players left, i can see why they’re twitchy.

Where have you got that from not seen that anywhere?

They’re twitchy? I’m the one getting twitchy. Wondering if I & the rest of us will still have a club to support come September.
25 July 2020 at 9:09 am #188207Surprised Whelan hasnt made an offer, particularly as he’d get it for much less than he sold it to the fraudsters for.
25 July 2020 at 1:10 pm #188208Whelans too old and his merps aren’t up to it.
But he could easily buy it and leg chippy mon take over as chairman25 July 2020 at 1:46 pm #188210Surprised Whelan hasnt made an offer, particularly as he’d get it for much less than he sold it to the fraudsters for.
I thought he might at least be part of the Leneghan consortium if only to secure places in the new club for JJ and Sharpey.
25 July 2020 at 2:32 pm #188211He could get it back for peanuts and sell many assetts and players to streamline the club.
It is worrying the shit these crooks have left us in with no income for the foreseeable future.
Just staying on until now they would have had players to sell for acceptable fees etc to finance the club.
There is something much much more that as gone on than simply giving up on an idea three weeks in. What? who knows? But there is a strong smell of something really dodgy that went on.25 July 2020 at 4:31 pm #188214Hes too old and the business brain isn’t the same.a 65 year old DW would have p1ssed all over these lot.
25 July 2020 at 5:26 pm #188215Wasnt expecting DW to come back and run the show, but as the bloke who flogged the club to these dodgy fuckers after over a year of dilly dallying to supposedly ensure he was passing the club onto a safe pair of hands, I would respectfully suggest that he shouldnt be sleeping comfortably at night at the moment, and as such, being involved in the rescue would be the moral thing to do.
Plus, it means his statue wouldnt be flogged off for scrap metal.
