Having the traditional tree and crown done later this week (first tattoo) and was wondering how painful it is having it done and how long it takes to heal and what it feels like while it is healing. To be honest am a bit scared. Any advise appreciated.

Healing is best described having mild sunburn.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

My wife did that to me when I asked her how it felt, she did that & it was pretty accurate – I’ve got a phobia of needles but its nowt like having injections
At times it’ll hurt more than at other times. I’ve been told that it hurts more over skin where there is bone close to the surface than it does over fleshy bits like your calf. Also, the outline of your tattoo hurts more than the “colouring in”
I was also told by my tattooist that, in general, men find it a far more painful experience than women

Only one of my plenty of tatoos has hurt and that was down my side, like my ribcage. All the rest were more or less painless, with some places causing more discomfort than others(such as wrist is more uncomfortable than arm etc), but not pain.
23 April 2010 at 7:30 pm #30504I had my top half sleeve finished on Tuesday and it was the underneath of my upper arm (armpit region). Now that’s pain! I’ve had one all down outside of my leg, top half sleeve and other arm, not all that painful but I would say more so on fleshy (tender) skin. Well worth it though! It affects some people more than others, my mate said he didn’t feel much pain on underside of his arm but his leg killed him so, it’s really just down to the person getting it done.
