I have to say, we were very, VERY, lucky. But for a lick of paint on the posts, we could have been 3-0 down. :shock:

So we had most of the possession, yet could of been 3 goals down. Where are we going wrong? Is the midfield too ‘rigid’? In fact, to me, it seems that the players are given a set position to stick to, and are SCARED to do anything different. It’s quite like table football, or ‘bar’ football. The players are in lines, with the midfield not pushing up in support of Di Santo and Boselli when attacking, but also getting played through too easily when on the defensive.

It’s worrying….especially as this was against a Championship side. It’s like a game of chess against a ‘hustler’. We make all the moves, and then the opposition just make the killer move and that’s it. Where is the problem? Find that, and we can solve it.

We got off with it tonight, but won’t against Premiership clubs, as we have shown already.

just got in, several pints later, still dosen’t take away the pain of the dross i’ve witnessed tonight. i’ve been watching latics for 57 years, so you can imagine what i’ve seen in that time. i can honestly say, hand on heart, this is the biggest crock of shit i have ever seen. i don’t blame the players one bit, we have some good players, and with a decent manager in charge , we would do very well, but with this bellend in charge we are doomed. tonight for the first time, we played two up front, so what does the prick do ? he plays without two widemen, victor and charlie are on the bench !!! if drogba and rooney played in our team, they wouldn’t score. in the second half he brings charlie on, what a difference it made. just to confuse us, he plays charlie on the left wing, he always plays on the right normally. he plays thomas, neither use nor fekking ornament, defensive midfielder against a team second bottom in the championship ffs !!! i don’t like saying this, i wish we had lost tonight , we might have seen the last of this joker if we had , we can’t put up with much more of this, it,s not a pleasure anymore to watch, i never, ever, thought i would be saying this about my team that i’ve supported man and boy, but this prick in charge has knocked all the stuffing out of me. i don’t feel anything anymore, my passion that i’ve had all these years has gone, it has been taken away from me in one season by this gobshite. i will still go and watch, but i will feel nothing, i will just sit there and accept the inevitable. how can one man in the space of one season, destroy everything we,ve worked so hard for, and we will sink without a fight, it’s so sad.

You were confused with N’Zogbia being brought on to play on the left in a 4-4-2 formation? If you play with two strikers mulling around the box – a big bloke and a little one, what is the aim of a wide player? If a left footed player plays on the left, what is he able to do? I’ll not answer these for you.

Over the past twelve months, Rodallega and N’Zogbia have played on the ‘wrong’ wings, allowing them to cut inside and score goals. They have each scored more goals than the man playing up the middle. N’Zogbia probably never played on the right until last season, and has suddenly scored more goals in a Premier League season than he ever has done before.

The manager gets slates for not changing it, and then you slate him for changing it.
