As negative a set up as we could field.Looks like a 90 min back to the wall game.Just heard we 1 down now…why the f### not just go for it.???..

Agreed; we should start with the strongest line up and then try to edge in front and then shut up shop. Instead, we are chasing the game again. Sounds like our goalie is having another mare !

Gilks on the bench captain calamity in goal and we set up defensively, brilliant tactics.

Guess it’s a masterstroke putting Powell on bench when he’s scored four goals in around 40 minutes last two games winning us six points. I mean we’ve been banging em in all season so why not start him on bench in a must win game? Still we are two down so maybe best putting him on now!

Another 60 mins absolutely down the drain !!!! Starts with a shit line up with Powell..Morsy..Colclough sat on their arses.Top of the league away and we desperate for points ……so we give them 60 mins cruising and 2 goal start ….FFS Sharpe don’t even contemplate giving Barrow the post full time.Had enough this season of this bullshit cautious mentality….cop a load of Burton….in the crap but played every game for 3 points……..the whole club has been f@@@@@ to the foundations this season…please let’s have a complete backroom enema!!!

Did anybody actually think we would win today? Against top of league and a win getting them into premier league?

No. I definitely didn’t. I was more interested in other scores. Blackburn scraped another point and Burton won at Birmingham.

I think we will be confirmed down next Saturday and in a way, it’ll be a relief to have it confirmed.

We deserve to go down, in all honesty.

Seven midfielders we played today. A midfielder up top on his own as usual. A midfielder at right back. Why are Tunnicliffe and Hanson even in the squad. 2-1 defeat away at Brighton on paper doesn’t look bad but we had two shots on target and that’s a disgrace. No winger either as he was played up top on his own. Barrow just continuing in the tradition of the last two Muppets. What the f is going on?
To crown it all today we even lost to a side that plays 4-4-2 and it looks like they’re going to win the league playing that old fashioned way.
Surely they must have been left wide open in midfield do why couldn’t our 7 man midfield break that down.
Nick Powell four goals in two games starts on the bench with a loanee in midfield. Come on Mr Sharpe find a Nigel Pearson, Paul Jewell or Sean Dyche type manager and start playing a regular side. We were left without much hope after the Bristol game and the prep for next season should have been then.

Totally agree…….today has been just another example of the farcical team selection and f@@@@@ up recruitment we have endured this season. Deserve to be relegated even though I live in hope still of a miracle. Imperative we keep Powell cos the right man in charge can turn him into the player he’s always threatened to be.

Now come on, Barrow has played Powell superbly well, just giving him the 30 mins or so, enabling him to give his all. 5 goals from the bench is a great return, rather than him running round against fresh legs.
Barrow has got loads of things wrong, he’s definitely not the man for the job, but his handling of Powell has been bang on.
Are you saying that Powell would have scored more than 5 goals playing 270 mins rather than the 90 or so he’s played in the last 3 games?.

What did you think of Morsey’s performance against Barnsley ? What about his contribution in the 3-4 previous games before that?

The same can be said about Coco, has made an impact coming on agreed, unfortunately when he plays from start, he’s been like an also ran.

I can understand your frustrations of not being more attacking minded, I was disappointed when I saw the team sheet, but sometimes you have to give the opposition credit. You can play any formation you like but if the team your playing is man for man better than you, the result is sometimes inevitable. :(

That doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence if it comes off, I always say never bring back former players or managers, it very rarely works.

Scharner dispelled that theory if you look at his medal collection, but not many more have worked out.

I agree with the Powell situation to a certain extent with him coming back from injury, but at least he would have been on to try to create the odd chance for others.

Your point above about teams being man for man better than us may have been true today, but that hasn’t been the case for most games this season, it has been the tactical shite of the two previous managers which have made the results inevitable.
I am not blaming GB for anything as he has been given the unenviable task of trying to get the loosing mentality out of players that have been stifled by the two clowns that went before him.
I see Mr Caldwell has worked wonders at Chesterfield, there are not too many managers that have the honour of relegating two teams in one season, Wanker.

Not having it……which ever way you analyse it …it was a defensive set up.Took Brighton to score before we changed it round……and guess what ????? we got back in the game. Power..Perkins..Tunnicliffe….come on we’ve set the league alight this season playing 2 of those. Remember we had nothing to lose and still the penny hasn’t dropped…..sitting around waiting for it to happen..Jesus have you not seen enough of that with 43 games gone ???..Rovers played with 2 and 3 forwards and 3 attacking midfielders and stuffed Newcastle home and away.!! Beat Forest…grabbed a valuable point today by using Mowbray recent philosophy…..”let’s make them worry about us “…Shut tactics and selection got what it deserved…F all.

Barnsley played 3 forwards against us for the full 90 mins on Thursday.

Not Newcastle was it…..and 2 joke goalkeepers had a hand in that result. Credit to Barnsley…and their need is greater than hours isn’t it
