Not having it……which ever way you analyse it …it was a defensive set up.Took Brighton to score before we changed it round……and guess what ????? we got back in the game. Power..Perkins..Tunnicliffe….come on we’ve set the league alight this season playing 2 of those. Remember we had nothing to lose and still the penny hasn’t dropped…..sitting around waiting for it to happen..Jesus have you not seen enough of that with 43 games gone ???..Rovers played with 2 and 3 forwards and 3 attacking midfielders and stuffed Newcastle home and away.!! Beat Forest…grabbed a valuable point today by using Mowbray recent philosophy…..”let’s make them worry about us “…Shut tactics and selection got what it deserved…F all.

Barnsley played 3 forwards against us for the full 90 mins on Thursday.[/quote]

Barnsley should have been 5-0 up by the time Powell came on.
Even at 3-2 to us they should have got an equaliser late on, and that’s not counting the goal they did score that was wrongly disallowed.
I just hope a new man comes in soon to assess the squad before they all bugger off for their jollies, brings in his own back room staff and gets the squad back early for a PROPER pre season.
There are plenty players in this squad who are good enough for this league never mind League One, so hopefully with a few tweeks here and there and the right preparation, tactics and selections we will have a good season and bounce straight back.

Like I said Paul the previous season should have begun after the Bristol game.

Whilst you talking about goal keepers, have you seen Brighton’s two goals today? Our keeper was bloody awful, both went through him not round him.

Can’t understand why Gilks wasn’t played, surely we stand to lose more money going down than what it would have cost us extra to play him? The Stoke lad had a nightmare according to the Five live commentary!

Should have been, could have been, bleedin eck, the season is full of those things. I totally agree about our squad, good enough to finish mid table in my opinion. However, the managers, their tactics, not playing two up front etc are not responsible for players missing open goals, getting dispossessed 30 yards from goal, letting shots go right through you etc etc.

We have simply made too many glaring mistakes, teams have not had to work too hard to score against us all season, starting with Dan Burn’s back pass at Bristol City on day one.

You sometimes have to ask yourself are the players good enough or what?

Absolutely jr another horror show and makes the cock up with Gilks frustrating as hell and he was on the bench ffs.

Spot on also about Barrow definitely not the man for the job. Yes Brighton are a class side who don’t need any help by the opposition being negative. We are going down deservedly so lets have a change of direction and forget this horrendous season and move on.

Is he actually a goalkeeper?? I said on an earlier thread Jussi was and is still good enough as first choice or back up for Gilks, so why did we sign this mon anyway?

In his first season in charge we played some of the best football for years. It went pear shaped quickly in his second season but I’m sure he wouldn’t be any worse than what we have had since.
Caldwell eventually got it right in the promotion season, but it took him half a season to realise he needed to change, and when he went back to his old ways this season, look what happened.

Don’t see him coming back he was far from happy when he was sacked and to be honest the job is so unstable why would he want the hassle again?.

If Fleetwood get promotion he would be mad to come back here! The source is The Sun! That should be enough not to take any of this seriously anyway!

If that is the case Phil, I hope it was The Sun that also started the rumour that Caldwell was coming back.
I know which one I would choose out of the two, and he wouldn’t be Scottish.

Would any other club sack a manager one November, and then appoint him again the following summer. Why would you do that? As for Rosler, why should he come back? They may well go up as we go down. He would be a fool to come back, in my opinion.

I’ll be amazed if we don’t appoint Graham Barrow. Another easy appointment for the club.

Why do we all want rosler back all of a sudden. He changed his teams more than i changed my socks. Its a no from me!!

Pearson or alex neil for me.

Can not see Rosler coming back here. He has more ambition and Fleetwood seem like a more ambitious and go ahead club than us who own their own grown and top standard training ground.

Set up was all wrong today…too many holding midfielders in stating XI, Would have had Morsy on at least instead of Power or Tunnicliffe, possibly Colclough as well. As for Powell, we were never going to start him, but to be fair to Barrow, though he got it wrong, he does at least try to make some chances to alter the formation. Again in GB’s defence, he was not to blame for us conceding a Sunday League 1st or Calamity Jakob in goal, That alleged GK is one of the worse I’ve ever seen play for us….absolutely shocking.
