Barnsley will have to be really poor to lose today.
For me,Byrne and Marshall are out of form, but make the team.
Jacobs/Massey/Lowe, one of them will be playing out of position.
Last roll of the dice for Cook.
      Fingers crossed for a win.

TBF Marshall & Byrne both had good steady games for me. The former pulled off some top saves. MOM for me was Williams.

Two players that proved again today they are nowhere near good enough are Jacobs and Massey.

Thought mullgrew had a good game, looked in command at the back

          #180863

Mulgrew is oneof the best set piece takers outside the PL.
That free kick in the first half was on a sixpence.
He scored three last year direct from corners.
So why are we still having Lee “can’t get it over first man” Evans taking them in the last desperate seconds?

I was thinking the same thing as well.

Seen us play worse. On another day we would have won Thought Mulgrew was decent enough, Lowe showed his electric pace but wasn’t always in right position to receive ball, Marshall superb and won us a point. Thought subs were a bit odd. Feel sorry for young lad who came on and struggled. Seemed to lose ball very time.

You mean the player we should have been building our squad around according to some?

Gelhart out his depth I’m afraid felt so sorry for him. Nearly cost us a point trying to dribble the ball out just outside our box and Marshall made a good save.
Goes to show how fans can want things that arn’t there.

                From Matlock to ManU
                What a journey!

He looked no worse than Massey and showed far more desire to attack.

Usually JR you talk a lot of sense, but you cant judge a player (especially a young lad) after playing for 20 minutes.

Exactly, out of our box, brought on to tighten things up at the back I guess, ffs.
Are you not going to mention the passes William’s misplaced throughout the game, is he out his depth ?, and Massey and Jacob’s ? their lacklustre performances ?.
It’s amazing that within a p1ss poor performance by the majority of our squad, at home against a team we need to beat to stay up you highlight the performance of a young lads and he’s entrance into an awful game to watch and his 30 (not 20) minutes performance.

I would have like to have seen Gelhardt playing off the shoulder of Moore nodding things down. I get the point, Moore is tall but does every ball have to be aerial ?. There were times when we could have crossed it along the floor or cutback but were now focused on Sunday football “Hit the big lad up there!!”
But if your gonna put blame on Gehardt’s 30 minutes then I’m sorry but you must have been watching the doc leaves grow over the duggy.
Theres only one person out his depth and I think its about time we got shut as the rots already set. With a trip to Fulham and Charlton soon to come I just hope the break is beneficial to us.
Wanna bet ? Chris Houghton to Stoke, they’ll not mess around in the hope things get better

I’m simply highlighting the frailty of our squad and I’m afraid I found the subs a bit underwhelming. Certainly not the reason we didn’t win. As decent as Moore is in the air I’ve still not seen him have a shot on target in the games he’s played. We seem to be creating very little in the final third.
