I bet everybody on this board has been on a football pitch at the end of a season, when they were younger and it wasn’t frowned upon. It was a bit premature the other day but nobody ran towards the Hull fans, they ran to celebrate the goal with the players, I’m a bit old for running on the pitch now but I certainly don’t feel that anybody from the other day should be banned.
Let’s take every last ounce of passion out of the game, sit down in our seats quietly, very quietly – infact why not do what others do, watch on sky in our front room, pipe and slippers on.
I agree no need to ban anybody.[/quote]
I’m not saying whether anyone should or shouldn’t.
But the club would be perfectly entitled to. We don’t know what the FA will make of it yet.

they wont take any action (the FA or the club)
I have had my moan and feel happy that reasonable people think the same
5 May 2010 at 8:18 pm #31993I am not a grown man as you put it (early 20’s myself). Thanks for that. I’ll be able to use that excuse when my son, who’s also in his early 20’s, gives me any grief.
5 May 2010 at 8:59 pm #32007How times have changed
When I was in my early 20s I had been round the world, fought in a war, was on my second or third house, been married divorced and had kids
now I guess they are barely out of their ‘gap’ year
5 May 2010 at 9:16 pm #32008Don’t see any reason for any bans or punishment. I was NOT on the pitch and had no urge to run on. I also wasn’t booing them on the pitch. It’s just something that happened (At the wrong time on this occasion) .. But no harm came so it’ll all be alright in the morning. And to be honest, who really cares? I see this thread has got many posts as it is something to moan about  :D

The problem about the pitch invasion was that a minority spoiled the moment for the majority. And, as someone else has already said, what was there to celebrate? If it had happened, say after N’Zogbia’s goal against Arsenal, then that would have been more excusable.
Silly people seeking an opportunity to get onto the pitch because it would somehow be accepted, being the last home game of the season.Very annoying, but not quite as annoying as that cringe-worthy Little Wigan thing played every time a goal goes in.
5 May 2010 at 11:20 pm #32029I am not condoning the invasion. Seems as if you are trying to prove a right/wrong situation thing on me. But all I am saying is why people have bothered to start a thread moaning about it. Its no biggy. Nobody cares.

6 May 2010 at 12:01 am #32035No. The pitch invasion I don’t. The fact that people are moaning about it for the pure sake of moaning….I do.

6 May 2010 at 12:11 am #32044So what are you maning about then ?  :DI would normally ‘moan’ not ‘man’ as you incorrectly spelt it. I am moaning at everybody getting on their periods about some people running onto a pitch.
So Fuck off and stop putting gay things in regards to all my posts.6 May 2010 at 12:16 am #32048Anonymous

6 May 2010 at 2:17 am #32087I don’t recall ever seeing a double line of stewards at the away end before – not even when Portsmouth beat us to stay up. They arrived before our lot started massing near the bottom of the steps. Seems to me to be another inept display of stewarding. I saw it coming so why didn’t they?
And on a lighter note, one of our lot went over and started giving it out to the Hull fans and then fell over as he turned to run away. Made me chuckle anyway…
