According to Nixon, Wigan are bringing in a QC for the appeal, potential to be the biggest appeal against the EFL admin penalty ever known.

I wonder who’s paying for that?

        Fuck the EFL

This is going to be hard to digest but, when a club is been taken over the EFL actually reply on a “Self Assessment” form.

They have said they don’t accept Wai Kay’s excuse that Covid was to blame and we agree but, this was 5 weeks ago.

Were is the .money he showed the EFL proof of funds they needed to show that they have the money to run the all next season nevermind y games.

Makes you wonder what funds the EFL saw and if the Self Assesment theory is based on fact.

I’m literally listening to it now.

One interesting thing I keep hearing is the punishment for not finishing the season. Points deductions, removal from the football league. Wasn’t the precedent set with a club up the road that you get a slap on the wrist?

                    #187768

Yesterday on the radio the administrator said we will finish the season. The players are all together with the management team and will do everything to keep us in the championship. When administrators bring their own legal eagles in to investigate you know for sure that something is iffy. A lot of people with influence and clout are all over this and whether the poxy EFL like it or not some form of truth will emerge. Let’s hope it’s enough proof to give us grounds to take legal action against the feckers. Had this been a club from the home counties would the morons be as brutal to them. Too much of a coincidence that the 4 clubs to feel the wrath of these pricks are all from Lancashire.

The EFL headquarters are based here though?

Listening to Rick Parry on talk sport, dismissive of the owners statements, a more non-committal man man you will struggle to find

That was embarrassing. If we’re taking them to court any half decent QC will have the judge putting his black cap on when Parry takes the stand.

Blamed the clubs that made the owners rules, blamed the fan who recorded him, blamed the new owners. EFL did nothing wrong but must improve? Everyone’s responsible if we go bust. Almost gave up half way through and just decided to agree but still not EFLs fault. Oh the other thing it’s not covids fault either

Parry has said today on talk sport:

“Clearly that is not being helped by them not being here, they’re a long way away.”

                            Telephone
                            Skype
                            WhatsApp

Or is it just too far for the EFL’s racing pigeon.
Something so serious and Wigan Today have spoke to Wai Kay but EFL cant make contact.

I hope we rinse them for failed funding checks.

Blackpool fan here. A few personal observations :
                                1. I think you should get yourself organised to fight. The EFL are already enmeshed in possible litigation cases with several clubs, and have other disputes pending with several more. I doubt that they really have the capacity or will to fight hard on the case load they already have. Set yourselves up to be difficult.
                                2. Thank God Harvey has gone and been replaced by Parry. You might get more common sense, more empathy, and a hell of a lot less hubris. However, some of Harvey’s apparatchiks remain in the organisation and you will encounter their organisational and cultural inertia before too long.
                                3. Do your homework and your own due diligence, if you can. Our experience is that they are an organisation who don’t seem to fully understand their own rules. Nor do they apply them consistently, when they can be persuaded to apply them at all. They don’t respond well to challenge, but they often appear embarrassed by it.
                                4. I think time is currently on your side. They will want a quick resolution so that they can get on with preparing for next season with some certainty about which teams are playing where. It may make them more amenable to a compromise solution in the short term than they will be later on. So I would want to get one now, if I were you.
                                5. Use your MP well. She is articulate, photogenic, appears to want to be involved and she has some clout. We would have loved to have MPs like that. In fact, Parliament as a whole (Damian Collins in particular) are increasingly waking up to how rotten an edifice English football is. Milk that for all you are worth.
All personal views and I seek to speak for no-one else. Good luck.

Many thanks for that. Can you share with us how The Seasiders escaped the 12 point deduction when they were liquidated last season?
