Right. This is the solution.
It is getting quite boring on here with multiple threads ranting and raving about Martinez, Whelan etc etc etc out.
It’s easy, nail your colours to the mast instead of hiding behind your gay computer screens.
Do as they do in Spain, if you are not happy with the regeime take your white hankerchief to the game and wave it above your head. SIMPLE.
It will be interesting to see how many “fans” bottle it.
For the record i can see no reason to get rid at this stage, what will be will be as disapointed as i am with the whole situation.
Keep the faith.23 January 2012 at 2:10 am #79140Right. This is the solution.

Keep the faith.Ok Einstien when is time to get rid???? How much more of this rubbish do we as fans have to put up with before Whelan does the right thing???
23 January 2012 at 2:15 am #79141I don’t believe the majority want him out. I speak regularly to around 20 latics fans (who actually attend games) and all are happy with him at the helm. Not once have i heard a Martinez out chant this season and apart from the occasional ‘boo’ have heard little frustration from the stands in general.
You all give it the big one on here but i believe most of the darksiders are in the minority when it comes to home games. Not many teams have been able to stay in the top league for 7 seasons on such limited attendances and to blame the Manager is futile. The real test of Bobby will be when we get relegated. Up the Latics!

Were do you sit the dug out???? I’m yet to talk to anyone who thinks he’s doing a good job, and when we get relegated he has to go. Another season of this shit against Millwall, Birmingham and the likes, surely not.
23 January 2012 at 2:20 am #79143Einstein. Thats a good one.
If you care to do some research and look back over the years Dave Whelan has always hired or fired his managers at exactly the right time. Are you saying that you don’t trust his judgement? A guy who has run multi-million pound businesses and ran a football club for nigh on 25 years?
I await your sensible answer……Einstein.23 January 2012 at 2:25 am #79145Einstein. Thats a good one.

I await your sensible answer……Einstein.Ok Einstien here we go when Steve Bruce walked out do you honestly believe Whelan appointed Paul Jewell to get us in the Premiership????
Whelan has been very lucky in his hiring and firing and his luck has finally run out because Bob is a joke. The writing has been on the wall for nearly 3 seasons and he has done nothing, not great judgement IMO.
23 January 2012 at 2:26 am #79147Sort of see where you are coming from Bigroy. There are deffo rumblings however, certainly in the pub during away games. Not heard much at the games tho.
I think we are all frustrated, yes the manager IS stubborn, i think he should change things a little. It is however, pretty easy being a manager behind a keyboard where your choices/selections etc carry no weight and are not open to scrutiny. Alot of our fans need a serious reality check.23 January 2012 at 2:30 am #79148Sort of see where you are coming from Bigroy. There are deffo rumblings however, certainly in the pub during away games. Keep the faith.Last time i saw white hankys on heads was when we played P.N.E at springy and it kicked off big time on the st.andrews side
23 January 2012 at 2:34 am #79151Regarding Paul Jewell’s appointment i would say yes that was his remit, without a doubt. It’s called ambition.
What do you think he said to him?
Roberto is not “a joke”. I seem to remember his doing a splendid job down at swansea. Was he not also the first manager to turn over a so called “big four” club?? He has his faults, yes. He also has his qualities.
If you are so keen on getting rid, please post a list of potential replacements who, first of all would take the Wigan job and secondly work within the restraints of the club.
This i am looking forward to.

Dave Whelan sacks graham barrow from wigan athletic div 3
graham barrow given job by Dave Whelan at wigan athletic premership yeah makes alot of sense that does :silly:23 January 2012 at 2:40 am #79154Swindon, Notts County bad results yeah for sure. 9 changes from the normal starting 11 tho wasn’t it for the Swindon game?
As for Crystal palace & Blackpool, don’t make me laugh, what gives us the god given right to be beating these teams. Is this the same Crystal Palace team that knocked Manchester United out of the cup?
And Blackpool beat Liverpool home and away last season?
Please correct me if i am wrong. Please think before you post tripe fella.23 January 2012 at 2:41 am #79156Sort of see where you are coming from Bigroy. There are deffo rumblings however, certainly in the pub during away games. Not heard much at the games tho.

Why does anyone really care that we got knocked out of cups by playing the reserves? Spurs, Chelsea and United were more embarrassing. Will look forward to the chants and flags at the next home game then.

Far too many internet fans get their expert opinions from live feeds and radio commentary. I`d much rather listen to the ones who make the effort to go to games rather than people who get hysterical while sat in the comfort of their armchair
