By your comments I guess you are a west stander..
You will get your sleep in there this afternoon with the rest..Crowds may have declined but not at the rate of this yr pal..and for the record in the away end this yr the average crowd has gone up..making our crowds even worse..
19 March 2011 at 10:22 am #62180I really don’t get this indiscriminate criticism of the West Stand. The East is hardly a hotbed of ultras is it?
Apart from a few pre-pubescent pr!cks with a drum and a couple of anti-Paki chants, you never hear a peep out of the East Stand. At least in the West you can hear the constant hum of moaning and the sound of season tickets being flung at the manager
19 March 2011 at 11:04 am #62182Wake up about what that the attendences have shown a decline from the year 2005 since we got in the prem ?The sharp decline in the 2nd season was entirely down to a greedy chairman almost doubling the ticket prices. At that point, he lost the people who had jumped on the bandwagon. Despite the special offers, incentives and almost pitiful begging, those people will not come back as regulars because they fear that at the first sign of success, the club will hike the prices again.
Since that season, the club has been mediocre at best – hardly setting the world alight, so why would those alienated fans come back to a product that isnt exactly enticing?
21 March 2011 at 4:51 am #62235The main aim of a football match is to win it.
No one really cares how you get there it’s all about the result, ask Birmingham who won the Carling Cup.
Throw into the mix the fact that it’s like watching paint dry no wonder our crowds are a disgrace. But hey he’s doing a great job.
And there’s me, thinking being a fan is all about supporting your club through thick and thin. Yes, you can rant about the management, the players and the administration but you still go to watch.Unless you are trying to use all the above as an excuse for not putting your hand in your pocket to watch the team you purport to support at one of the cheapest football grounds in the land.
Season ticket holder since before we left Springfield Park Presidents club member so I do support the club.
21 March 2011 at 12:35 pm #62239Wind your neck in Hindley, I didn’t mean you, or anyone else who goes regularly. ;)
I meant the ones who think we have to be playing like Real Madrid and tonking everyone 6-0 each week before they’ll put their hand in their pocket for £15 to “support” the club.
As you have said many times before, those that pay and go every week have the right to moan and voice their opinion however they see fit. Doesn’t make ’em right, mind you ;)

Sorry Griff I had just finished a git of a night shift and may have needed a chill pill before turning on the computer.
