I know I was mocked yesterday in certain quarters, but pleased by this announcement of 2 per ST…makes sense to me.
We should have no probs selling the 21,000. We really must make sure we buy 21,000 minimum (preferably 25k!).
Yes we laugh at ourselves over empty seats and all that, but not to sell out for the cup final would be humiliating; we would never live that down :woohoo:
A lot of genuine fans or regulars could and will miss out .. if you think that each season ticket holder decides they are taking the wife or girfriend and they dont normally go then that potentially leaves about 7 or 8,000 fans to fight for 4,000 tickets if we ask for 25 k ..
just a thought …
We have got around 8,000 adult season ticket holders, though I suppose the parents of these kids could and would use the allocation for friends and family instead of regulars.
But on the whole if the full 25k sell I don’t think any regulars will miss out, I just hope we do.
Only problem I foresee is the cost. Not everyone will be able to get the cheaper seats.
My brother and his two lads who went to the semi want to go, and at the cheapest it will cost £200 including travel. Add to that the cost of the semi and your starting to talk serious cash.
It will be full but only because some will sell to city fans. There are already some city forums saying they have friends who are Wigan fans who can get them tickets.
My grandaughter has an u5 season ticket which of course cost me nothing.Does anyone know if would be able to get final tickets on that upgraded to u16 as she is a bit too young to go ?

No, you wouldnt, and even I dont wish it comes to you returning tickets.
But I dont think it would come to that. Any true Wigan fan would walk over hot coals to be there on the day – its the culmination of the clubs’ rise from nothing to being in the final of the oldest sporting spectacle in the world, watched by billions, and one which you may never see Wigan in the rest of your lifetime.
£150 isnt much to say “I was there the day Wigan won the cup”.
To those who bought their tickets online last time round, do you actually get a choice of where you’re seats will be? I seem to remember complaints that they just take your money and you don’t have any say.
We are thinking of going in the £85 ones along the sides (blocks 501 to 504 I think). But these are the same price as the lower blocks behind the goal. If we just requested £85 tickets would it ask us which block or could we end up anywhere?
From what i remember Otter, you had a choice of singing section either lower or upper. Otherwise it was just a case of pick your price category and then take pot luck.
