Fair play to those that queued up Saturday night. From what I can gather a great craic was had by all. There’s more to life than convenience and comfort. My dad was there from midnight. He’s well into his 70’s but he loved it. Chatting to people he’d never met before, everybody sharing food and drink with complete strangers. He said it just made it part of the cup final experience. I realise it could all be done with the click of a button from the comfort of your own home, but it’s just a click of a button. Like buying any other commodity. My old man went home with stories to tell and new friends made. You can be as smug as you like about buying them on line, but don’t knock those that see and do things differently. Sad is the last word I would use to decribe him when I saw him on Sunday afternoon.
