This may seem petty to some of you, but I am increasingly cheesed off when I hear us referred to as ‘tics’.
We are LATICS… have always been LATICS, and always will BE LATICS!
I for one, hate this new name that some refer to our club as. We are the LATICS, that’s our history. Nobody should try and alter it. It’s hard enough to live up to your name as it is, without that.
So please, let’s forget this tics nonsense and get back to good old LATICS.

Been thinking that myself lately. There are lots of stupid things occuring in football these days but it’s like anything else it just moves on and develops in various ways. How about the other relatively new phrase that’s common these days ‘Parking the Bus’. It is something that is happening more and more but these descriptive words are quite new and used commonly

Ones been working fine most of this season but the reliance on midfielders chipping in with goals isn’t always working as demonstrated in the last three home games.

So because you haven’t heard it means it didn’t happen? Maybe its because you live in Skem and not Wigan?
For as long as I can remember Utd fans have been mancs, liverpool and everton have been reds or blues, arsenal fans gooners etc etc and latics fans have been referred to as tics or as it goes in Wigan “he’s a ticsmon”
Makes me laugh the fact that this board matters to you to the point where you think folk have a problem with you! Like I would have a problem with a bloke on a football forum. Found it funny when you claimed you were in the Falklands then backed down, and then there was the time that you had an alterego for a while but ‘problem’ be a bit of an over statement. Quite a few folk on here found you a bit odd over the years but to be fair you’ve settled down recently and apart from being reactive and taking bait easily you obviously enjoy your football.
Telling you honestly as a lad brought up in Scholes that the word ‘tics’ has been around well over 20 years as far as I can remember. If you don’t like the response, don’t post!
I think the word tics is generally used by fans that have been supporting the club since none league days. I certainly have and affectionately so.

So for me its Up the Tics, C,Mon you Tics every time.
