I couldnt make the game today & only caught it from the last 10 mins of the 1st half followed by the full 2nd half on tv. Feel really frustrated. Seemed a good spirited performance & undone by poor refeering decisions. Yes it was a penalty for them, but we should have had 2. Even redknapp said so too. We were Also undone by poor final 3rd play by ourselves. Still we brush ourselves down & get ready for the next one.

its the officials (lets get little wigan out of the prem) conspiracy i wonder last month or so has showed some strange goingons

you forgot the other bit …. switched off defensively once again for the goal (‘defensive intensity’, RM).

A poor cross from Gibbs, ball salvaged by Arsenal (‘the other team’ once again), one-two and thanks very much tackle from behind .. penalty.

        Same old, same old …..

That aside, defensively we were pretty solid. Shame, ‘cos a first clean sheet since … Southampton (?) would have been quite an achievement all things considered.

Crackin’ piece of play from Di Santo in the lead up to Kone’s first half miss. AK, has to do better – put the thing away !!

Also has to play Ronnie Stam in during the first 15 as opposed to taking more ambitious shooting opportunity himself. Poor decision-making.

God only knows for Mr Moss was up to during the 5-10 minute passage of play that Di Santo was stood on the touchline. At one point, Di Santo seemed to turn his back on play, doubtful he’d ever get back on !

        Absolute feckin idiot

Can’t help but feel we’ve contributed once again to our own downfall today. Game was there to be won. We had our moments.

Just don’t seem to be ‘switched on’ at both ends when it matters.

Referee apparently forced Di Santo off as he thought he was wearing an earring (which he didn’t). Ridiculous. We desperately need a striker. Di Santo has zero goal threat and needs replacing. Some of his play outside the box is good but that’s not what we need. At least Kone threatens and looks dangerous.

we had a good few chances and once again didn’t take them.Kones first half miss was diabolical-he is having a mare at the moment although I still think he will come good.
our home form is awful this year and I think a few new faces is needed to freshen everything up as our squad is far too weak at the moment.

I do hope that we sign an out & out striker in january. For all of kones & di santos hard work, they are not natural finishers & if you dont score, you dont win matches. I am confident that with a goalscorer plus the return of our absentees might see an upturn in our fortunes. Oh & decent refeering.

We have a £6M proven goalscorer on the bench

With Kone off to ANC in January, notwithstanding the fact that he’s been firing blanks for a while now, things do look pretty grim. At least, he still pre-occupies the other team defensively (‘a threat’).

Today, for me he’s had a bad ‘un both in front of goal and in his decision-making in key positions – key moments in a tight game that could have gone either way.

We can’t keep blaming the referees. Make your own luck in this game.

              We played well today.

Defended well, passed it well, build up play was good BUT..

How bad is our crossing, lost count how many overhit crosses by Stam and the fat bloke.

The only thing worse than our crossing is our finishing!

David Jones had his best match so far he was excellent along with the two Jimmys in a midfield that cost less than £2 million up against proven Champions league midfield of Arteta Wiltshire and the other mon I cant spell his name plenty of positives to bring out of this game onto the next

I agree 35, jones played well in the 60 mins or so i saw of the game. It was a good performance all round. But for all our good football, we need to put the ball in the net. Im still confident things will pick up soon & for what its worth even wenger said we are in a false position.

I do hope you mean the African Cup of Nations and he’s not getting into politics or he might never come back. ;)

I personally thought Kone looked good on the ball. He made a hash of one chance but at least he’s direct and isn’t afraid of having a shot. I think he’ll come good again.

As for a replacement, for me McManaman would be more suited to the role than Boselli – who, incidentally, I think might be going in January if we can get a replacement.

Couldn’t agree more, Jones played well today. Could be a case of the more he plays the better he gets, a confidence thing..

should do the same with strikers to freshen things up. Bemused as to how Boselli en Mcmanaman get one chance every now and again and then put back on the bench for months?

African Cup indeed, …we’ve had that one before.

Kone, good on the ball, but unfortunately what is equally true …in recent games – Reading, City and Arsenal he’s missed gilt-edged chances, granted he’s getting there, but we have to start converting if we’re to get out this mess. Today, furthermore omitted to play in Stam in first 15 mins. when through on goal.Bad decision (memories of V Moses). Look’s as though he needs a goal to get his confidence going again. Hope he does come good. The early season form of Di Santo and Kone has been key to our current points tally.

Bosselli – won’t be missed. What an investment (for a club of our limited means)
