Same story again the crossing was terrible from both sides.

If Stam was a horse he would of been shot today.

If we had put half the crosses in the box that Jean and Ronald had the chance to put in we could of won this game by 2 or 3 goals today.

Thought Jones was immense today playing as the “ball mover” in midfield.

A boring job but someone has to do it and he did it really well.

Apart from the miss I thought Kone was good today and I cant exactly blame the lad for forgetting what to do when given a clear cut chance as we dont create many.

Cant wait to have our CB’s fit so Boyce can go back on the right as even getting on with his thirty’s he can at least cross a friggin ball!!

Not sure what is wrong with Jean maybe he caught whatever Stam has but after last season I thought we had got one of the best crosses of the ball at the club since Valencia left….

Hopefully he can snap out of it as I cant see anyone to replace him in that position.

I do hope that we sign an out & out striker in january. For all of kones & di santos hard work, they are not natural finishers & if you dont score, you dont win matches. I am confident that with a goalscorer plus the return of our absentees might see an upturn in our fortunes. Oh & decent refeering.

We have a £6M proven goalscorer on the bench

With Kone off to ANC in January, notwithstanding the fact that he’s been firing blanks for a while now, things do look pretty grim. At least, he still pre-occupies the other team defensively (‘a threat’).

Today, for me he’s had a bad ‘un both in front of goal and in his decision-making in key positions – key moments in a tight game that could have gone either way.

We can’t keep blaming the referees. Make your own luck in this game.
I do hope you mean the African Cup of Nations and he’s not getting into politics or he might never come back. ;)

I personally thought Kone looked good on the ball. He made a hash of one chance but at least he’s direct and isn’t afraid of having a shot. I think he’ll come good again.

As for a replacement, for me McManaman would be more suited to the role than Boselli – who, incidentally, I think might be going in January if we can get a replacement.
African Cup indeed, …we’ve had that one before.

Kone, good on the ball, but unfortunately what is equally true …in recent games – Reading, City and Arsenal he’s missed gilt-edged chances, granted he’s getting there, but we have to start converting if we’re to get out this mess. Today, furthermore omitted to play in Stam in first 15 mins. when through on goal.Bad decision (memories of V Moses). Look’s as though he needs a goal to get his confidence going again. Hope he does come good. The early season form of Di Santo and Kone has been key to our current points tally.

Bosselli – won’t be missed. What an investment (for a club of our limited means)
A mistake of Koumas proportions

I agree with all of that Salford

Quality of Stam’s crosses today admittedly poor. Hasn’t been the case in recent weeks however. Far from it (indeed has offered a more potent threat going forward than Boyce).

Might even have got the first goal today had Kone played him in – first 15. Right back to boot.

Not the best day at the office offensively. Might you, conditions weren’t great out there. Didn’t see our promising England international O-C fare any better for Arsenal …

Was exactly the same against Norwich fella.

Gets himself into good positions and can beat a man to get it to the line but again if he is going to either put it behind the goal or over to the other side there is no point.

In fairness thought he has no support to lay it off to and if I was Beausejour I would be getting up on the left side knowing there is a good chance it will end up there.
