There were quite a few balls fizzed across the box but was it Grigg not being there or poor crosses or should we have had more men in the box? Grigg was everywhere yesterday.
Overall we were desperately unlucky yesterday and at last creating chances and working very hard. A good win at Huddersfield, a good dogged showing against Villa, a great second half against Derby, a decent go at Newcastle. The tide is changing and Latics are on the up. Hopefully some good moves in the market next month.
What pills are you on donny? You’re being very positive on here & elsewhere on another thread. In fairness though, i do agree with your post.[/quote]
Well Runcorn it’s just that this fella has come here from Utd with a lifetime of experience in the game and he has inherited a difficult job. We can’t expect miracles over night and he is working out his options and best way of making the most of what he has inherited and miracles don’t happen overnight. Just giving credit to him actually having a go a teams and trying out different things. We may not have players as some think of Championship quality but we are Wigan Athletic and we have survived on a lot more than the quality of individuals before.
You can’t make a silk purse from a pig’s ear and definitely not overnight but if we keep trying and working hard like yesterday we can upset the applecart again.
It’s more of an intuition Sammy based on watching Latics for over fifty years and not an observation based on the amount of games I have seen this season.
