You can tell why we are where we are in the league. End product is appalling. Either a bad ball/decision or a shot that troubles nobody
24 December 2019 at 1:44 am #183140Just not good enough !!!
Pretty patterns but no quality and another game with no cutting edge and devout of character.
Going down like a lead balloon.
Gone24 December 2019 at 1:50 am #183141Was I the only one hiding behind the couch with 10 to play?
Thought we were far and away the better side but as you’ve both touched on, we have no cutting edge. Would have summed our season up for that Holtby chance to go in from a corner that wasn’t.
24 December 2019 at 1:52 am #183142Played well I thought…mom Evan’s for me. Yet again Jacob’s misses great chance then runs into blind alley in penalty area at his mercy.Lowe never ever looks like finishing. Our lack if goals/goalscorer will and has cost us tonight. Why couldn’t Cook be braver and throw Pilks or Garner on last 15.Rovers only got a head of steam up because we started sitting g deep. Pleased with a point but again it could have been 3…….oh for a goalscorer.
24 December 2019 at 2:02 am #183143That comes from the position we’re in and the run we’re on I think. Confidence is high at Blackburn and they make attacking changes expecting to win it. Similar to Liverpool at the minute with the amount of late goals they’ve bagged.
We’re expecting someone to fall over their own shoelace and stick it in our goal with their backside. It gets to a stage where we’re almost afraid to do anything I think other than protect what we have. If we go attacking and lose he gets slated for it, if we protect what we have he gets slated for it.
24 December 2019 at 2:10 am #183144Great point, should have been 3 on chances created.
Everyone was bumming Blackburn up before the game, so bossing them for long periods, more efforts on goals, commentators saying you would think Wigan was the team fighting for promotion, means no negatives from me.
The biggest plus was seeing out 7 mins of injury time. Unbeaten in 3, Nick Powell’s Stoke bottom of the league,a win on Saturday could kickstart our season. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!24 December 2019 at 2:29 am #183145Good performance and unlucky not to come away with 3 points.
Need same level of effort again on Boxing Day and against a Derby team having a poor run (no win in 6 games), it will hopefully be 3 points!
We must start to make our dominance pay off in matches. Worried this is a purple patch for us and we aren’t reaping the benefits. Walton M.O.M. tonight.24 December 2019 at 2:32 am #183146Thought we played well, I’ve said it before nothing to be frightened of in this league, need a play maker and someone who knows where the goal is, just lacking in confidence in front of goal at the moment, good point and a clean sheet, something to work with at least.
24 December 2019 at 2:48 am #183147Lee Evans was superb in the playmaker role tonight. Loss count of the defence splitting through balls he made.
I’ve got a feeling one win might spark a run. How must stoke fans be feeling, spent a fortune preseason and booosh, bottom of league at Christmas which usually means doomed. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!24 December 2019 at 2:58 am #183148A breathtaking four shots on target. Front one starved by a shite three behind him. Back four did ok protected by the two in front of them.
Negative line up with out of form players in that line up.
A Joyce like approach giving the result we prepared and played for.
Such a shame because Blackburn stunk.24 December 2019 at 3:11 am #183150You need to do better than that donny/jeff.
24 December 2019 at 3:36 am #183152You need to do better than that donny/jeff.Yes but we can not argue that four shots on target is pretty pathetic. Cook as either got to take a close look at his negative approach or just admit hes failed and go.

We were getting no shots on target not too long ago so 4 against a team that everyone was saying we should emulate, is not as bad as you make out. Lighten up a bit buddy even the media was full of praise for us. Don’t let your yearning for another manager step in the way of a decent performance.
What’s your view on Blackburn being outplayed for long periods by a team bottom of the league? From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!24 December 2019 at 11:08 am #183154Was I the only one hiding behind the couch with 10 to play? No! Me & all Egg. I was in work so had to rely on my live score feed keeping me up to date. But even I was hiding for those last 10 plus injury time.

Such a shame because Blackburn stunk.A negative lineup? We had 4 attacking players and created a pot load of chances we’re just not good enough at taking them. It wasn’t even remotely close to a Joyce style lineup or gameplan.
