Admin, any chance of a separate, dedicated board for the summer for all the children to post their inane transfer cr@p? Clearly they can’t grasp the concept of the sticky Transfer thread and consequently post a brand new thread every time a Spanish player’s name appears in the paper or a relegated player goes on holiday, or a Sky News reporter bothers his @rse to type something up.
And talking of players the CL Brains Trust thinks we shoud sign…

Nowhere, really. All this transfer rubbish just does my swede in. Might do a full day’s work instead.
Present company excluded, obviously, but it gets a bit tedious over the summer. There are some whopping comments flying around at the moment.
“N’zogbia probably thinks he’s worth more than £8m” What does it matter what he thinks, for Christ’s sake.
“We should spend some of the money we get in rather than just keep it”. Keep it?? Do these people think we are playing Championship Manager? Has SW’s preaching all been in vain this season.
“After all we’re not a wealthy [eye-brows raised, heavily laced with sarcasm] club”. Correct, we’re not, so what’s that dig all about?
It’s like Playground Central all of a sudden. And it will be the same all the way to the big kick-off. Where’s Loudmouth for a good old spaniard-bashing session when you need him?
Griff, I fear that I have in the most part, cast on stony ground.
I have been, and will continue to lurk in the shadows until the start of the season or until such a whopper is put on the line that I can’t resist a little nibble.
I’ll comment on signings when I see them wearing a Wigan shirt, and when the course of the whole season is mapped out in a friendly against St Mirren/Leigh Phoenix/Rose Bridge.
I might even compose a few football songs that don’t start off with Do-Do-Do, and therefore will never be sung.
From time to time, I may hide my laptop just to resist the temptation.

I like the speculation at first, then as we near the start of the season and nobody interesting has been signed, aswell as normally losing a few of our better players, that’s when I get fed up with it all.

I do fear, though, that you are in for a disappointment if you expect a managerial change. That said, on the basis that you have now raised the subject, expect a barrage of “I think we should go for Rafa Benitez with Brenda Spencer as his assistant” type posts before the day is out
