In your opinion, of course. I am yet to speak to anyone – you apart – who doesn’t think that Scharner in our back three isn’t a decent option.

Both midfielders really and I was just using Jones as an example even though he has done a job in defence before and did well in my opinion. All I am saying is that I would have liked an out and out defender as I remember Scharner’s previous displays as a centre half for us and they were ropey due to his own ideas at the time, lets hope he is going to be more focussed this time !
