Both midfielders really and I was just using Jones as an example even though he has done a job in defence before and did well in my opinion. All I am saying is that I would have liked an out and out defender as I remember Scharner’s previous displays as a centre half for us and they were ropey due to his own ideas at the time, lets hope he is going to be more focussed this time !
No Scharner was always a CB who wanted to play in CM.
When has Jones done a job in defence? I have seen him at LWB butnever at CB?!?
Ropey?!?!? I thought he was one of the most composed centre halves we have ever had!!!
Didnt have a bad record as a striker for us either tbh :)

I thought he had dropped into the back 3 for us earlier in season for a game. Scharner has obviously changed tack as to what he really is and so hopefully he wont be getting caught out of position when marauding forward thinking he is a striker !
