What about Piquionne or Dindane? If they were on loan from a larger club then I don’t think we could get them for a decent fee, but they’re certainly too good for the Championship if they can maintain their form from this year. Seem to be slow burners though in the early stages of the season yet they would at least provide more goals than Scotland or even Rodallega. I was genuinely worried when they brought Piquionne on during the 0-0 farce a month or so ago.
ive said Dindane before but got ridiculed for it….
personally think he’s better than any strikers we’ve got

Both of them are only on loan to Pompey so why would we be able to get them cheap?
And why would they score any more than Rodallega in a team that creates no chances?
He didnt say we could get them cheap. But we could probably get them at a good price as their obviously not wanted by there owners. We have created chances this season, Scotland and Rodallega have both missed plenty….

Dont see what you’re trying to say Griff
You’re right, I read it wrong about them being cheap.
Though I still don’t see why two strikers from a team that got relegated easily are the answer. And knowing Pompey’s track record, they are probably on big wages.
Yeah i agree 2 relegated players are not the best option to go for. Id say Dindane is better than piquionne and could do a job for us… a better job than scotland anyway. We really should be setting our sights higher but we’re little wigan :|
Dindane is in talks with Wolves over a £4 million move, isn’t he? Plus, he’s not that good. Piquionne has looked decent when I’ve seen him but has been linked with Everton and Blackburn. I can honestly see no difference between the ability of Nugent, Marlon King and Caleb Folan.
Beattie is a gosbhite, but a talented (sort of) one and would be a like-for-like replacement for Moreno with the added boost of Beattie looking capable of finding the net every now and then. It looks like he and Dave Kitson will be leaving Stoke this summer and I wouldn’t really mind either of them.
Personally, I’d be delighted if we managed to bring in Steven Fletcher. For me, he’s the best player from any of the relegated teams.

Scotland & £1m for Dindane ? That seams a fair offer.
Scotland & £1m for Dindane ? He’d be a good buy for Pompey in the championship
Dindane was on-loan at Portsmouth, and he’s owned by RC Lens who value him at £4 million. We could offer them Jason Scotland and then watch him tear Ligue Un apart though.
Could see some truth in this one, Don’t forget Polly came from Rotherham when they went down and he turned out to be a belter.
Burnley boss Brian Laws is chasing Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Lee Grant.
The Daily Mail says Laws is pressing ahead with plans to take Grant from Sheffield Wednesday.
Laws, who was given a stay of execution earlier this week, is ready to offer £1.5million for Grant after inquiring about the former England U21 keeper in January.
Wigan Athletic are also interested in Grant among others as they look to increase competition for Chris Kirkland.

I’d prefer us to go for either Kasper Schmeichel, or Boaz Myhill.
Lee Grant? More chance of us signing Barry Grant!
