I’m glad we pulled out of the Hugill move, if the figures that were being spoken about are correct.
I also don’t want us to be held to ransom for Lowe either. I think that move is also dead.

Signing foreign players? As things stand, the only foreign players I could see us bringing in are suchlikes as Otzumer and Olkowski as frees from Bolton, and maybe Nahki Wells on loan. Not sure if Olkowsji has been snapped up or not. I could eveb see Magennis coming here too as a squad filler.

I think a lot of the ifs, buts, and maybes situation of the past few weeks couldve been avoided had the powers that be given us a bit more clarity. We were dreaming and wasting our breath talking about Hugill, and I am not even convinced of us having serious interest in Lowe.

Its going to go one of two ways. We are either going to look sharp and pretty good with what we have, the young lads and squad already here. Or Paul Cook is going to suddenly realise we are short in a certain position, or positions, and then be forced to make a move to sort that out.

In many ways, Saturday cannot come soon enough. Lets get going and see how things look.

Just been reading a lads posts on twitter, says he was down at stadium sorting tickets out and he is 99% sure he saw Dujon Sterling coming out of the main entrance, with two suited fellas.

Might be nonsense, I was thinking ‘why not Euxton?’ But lets just see.

Piggin Hell, I just looked at Dujon Sterling’s profile on wikipedia using my phone. It had him scoring 38 goals for Coventry last season from right back, then I realised the columns wernt lined up. played 38 no goals.

Thats funny! Imagine, a right back scoring 38 goals in a season. That would be some player! I dont know much about Sterling, but if he is at Chelsea, he cant be so bad.

I’ve a feeling we may get Nmecha from City on loan as well. Now, lets look at this. We have brought in a keeper, a left back, and an extra midfielder. If we do bring in Sterling and Nmecha, a right back and a striker, that for me, would be pretty much spot on for our needs. And there is also still the possibility of Williams and Pennington from Everton signed and on loan. If the Nmecha deal fell through, I wouldn’t be too disappointed if we were to then bring in Leon Clarke. He will do a job, if not as a regular starter. Handy to bring on.
I would be very pleased if we got all these. But we must keep Windass as well. Still cant be letting players go.

We may even make a late move for some available experience. Someone like Cattermole coming in on a years deal on the eve of the season, maybe prepared to accept lower wage offer by then. To take a similar role as Gibson last season and come in when Samy is suspended, etc.

And with Gelherdt, Lang and Weir being given first team squad places, its suddenly looking quite exciting.

I seen Messi coming out of Rigalettos with Darren Royle and Jonny Jackson. He shook their hands and then got in a Bluestar taxi and drove off. Was a nice taxi not a shitty one.

Alan Nixon says we have 2 players coming in today hopefully, despite having opposition for both.

Could one be Hutton? His experience would be immense in that back line of ours. With Marshall and Fox as well.
