20 September 2012 at 3:55 am #93389For all other clubs, I honestly believe that any official recognition should be confined to the actual anniversary of the Hillsborough date. I don’t think our club, or any other club, need do anything else in terms of minutes silences etc, outside of that date.
Totally agree. If you want to show your support then donate to the charity they have or applaud them briefly when they sing JFT96 when we play them this season. Other than that, we should concentrate on supporting our own team.
20 September 2012 at 4:32 am #93392well you really are trying hard mate arnt abd that was a relly good shout you but you really need to calm down anyway lets hope our club come up with some sort of something for the 96 maybe free flags for the kids with 96 on them
Let’s hope they don’t and I’ll show my arse if they do.[/quote]

Insert a comma in the right place and that’s a whole different question!20 September 2012 at 4:41 am #93393For all other clubs, I honestly believe that any official recognition should be confined to the actual anniversary of the Hillsborough date. With both of you on this.20 September 2012 at 5:42 am #93394Last weekend was the time for the home clubs aound the country to do their bit. Reading put it on the scoreboard etc. United did their little ditty to show their respects.
As someone said when we play them next & they start the JFT96 chant then by all means stand up & applaud other than that just do as Egg has said & make a donation to the HSFG.20 September 2012 at 11:44 am #93397I’m an inclusive type of blokeyou could have fooled me mate not hard before you say it you seem to have lots of enemies on here but i find you ok and failry witty
Look lad, I’ll rise to you for the last time because you’re interrupting and distracting from a sensible conversation between the grown-ups.
If you’re a multi, you’re crap at it, nobody thinks you’re funny and as GL has pointed out, you make the forum look childish to the outside world. At least when me and Salford have a pop at people there’s about class to it.
If you’re a multi and Arky too, please stop it. It’s rubbihs, but I’ll buy you a pint on Saturday if it is you ;)
If you’re just you, go away you’re boring everybody.
I have enemies? On an internet forum? People who don’t really exist? For one, grow-up, for two, do you think I care?
20 September 2012 at 3:49 pm #93401i am posting what i think like you do mate as for growing up may i remind you again of just one of your very childish posts.

It’s not my fault you are too ignorant to understand irony. And that’s now twice that the purpose of the post has been pointed out to you and yo ustill don;t get it. My 8-year old got it. He bollocked me for using the word nobhead at first but retracted it when he realised it was aimed at you.
enenies might be a bit strong but admit it your not very well liked on here are you?You have no idea how spectacularly indifferent I am to that possibility.

Better than being that socially rejected that your only enjoyment out of life is popping on a message board looking for a rise.
20 September 2012 at 6:55 pm #93409Back to the original topic, my own personal view is that I don’t like being forced to mourn.
Liverpool are doing their own thing this weekend as it directly effected them & as the opponents, United are joining in on that.
Some times I can understand the FA stepping in & saying that as a mark of respect to their contribution to football that all pro clubs should observe silences for the likes of Matt Busby, Brian Clough & that but sometimes I do resent some of them. Like:
The Queen Mum – I may be anti-royal anyway but why? I can’t recall her being a massive football fan or making any contribution to the beautiful game
Princess Di – see above.
The 2 girls murdered in Soham – As deeply tragic & horrific as that was, people are murdered every day & the football authorities don’t order us to mourn them. These 2 girls were wearing a football kit in the photo released to the press so the FA order a minutes silence. United I can understand as they were United fans but I found it strange then that the rest of the clubs were told to & I still find it strange now
Brian Moore – a commentator & famous football fan (Gillingham was it?) but quite why everyone in football had to observe a minutes silence puzzled me
There are others I found strange too
Maybe I’m heartless but if the Latics fans there on Saturday what to do something spontaneously or Latics themselves decide they want to put something in the programme or on the scoreboard, fine, but I don’t think anyone should try & force anyone else into doing anything what is in effect the publication of a report20 September 2012 at 7:32 pm #93414posted by griff.

really.

Give it a rest lad, you’re dull beyond belief.
20 September 2012 at 9:32 pm #93416lol is this really definately for sure the last time?
20 September 2012 at 9:39 pm #93418Totally agree with Tyldesley on this.
Of course Liverpool should do something on Saturday because last week marked a giant step , after all these years ,towards them finally getting justice for the 96. I think LFC know by now that the majority of “decent” football fans are 100% behind them and an official gesture by all clubs is not necessary this weekend.
I doubt the FA will be ordering clubs to mark the occasion because a great deal of talk last week was about how badly the FA themselves acted prior to and after the tragedy.
20 September 2012 at 9:45 pm #93419the fa were a disgrace appointing the match there in the first place when there was no safety certificate(they werent mandatory back then but you could still get one) and then giving the smallest end to the largest support.
